Spring in NH...a few pics to share...

Greetings fellow Photo Dis-Boarders!

I always appreciate seeing your photos so I thought I would finally return the favor!

My only request for Mother's Day was to go hiking. The day got started later than it should for our first destination but we ended up at a local conservation spot near our house in the southwestern corner of NH.

It was a spectacular spring day and for those of you in Northern New England- you know what a treat an actual spring day is. The woods was a vibrant green- no photoshopping of the color was done! Things were blooming right before our eyes!

Oh- these were all shot with my Nikon D70 and the 18-200mm VR lens.

Heading off into the Beech tree forest...

Ferns were uncurling before our eyes it seemed...

Some sort of interesting seed pod...good thing I don't have spring allergies!

Not quite as interesting as Mark's 'gator encounter but I wouldn't want to be mistaken for a tree when the beaver's returned!

Very nice photos. Nice to have had a true spring day yesterday, too bad it didn't last! I'm over in Salem- we went to Canobie Lake Park for Mom's Day(mom's got in for free and got lunch!). Over here the flowering trees are in beautiful bloom. The forsithia's are out and the lilacs are just starting to bloom

Great shots! I'll be up there in a few weeks for our annual "beginning of Summer" weekend getaway in the North Conway area. Hopefully it will be AFTER bike week, but who knows. It usually ends up being bike week when we are there. I look forward to using my DSLR up there this year as it is the first year I have it for this trip!

Your area looks closer to VT than ME though, right? I like that area a bit more than the ME side of NH.
