Spring Direct Incentives 2/9-4/27

Thank you @ClaraOswald - my new quote didn't include the Visa discount. So I called my guide and the new incentives end up being better now!!!
For my Poly contract there is the basic incentive plus $500 D23, $1000 Anniversary discount, and $1000 Visa discount. It ended up saving me about $600 over the prior incentives. The guide is rewriting the contract now.
Lucky duck i wonder if its the same for vdh, this suspense is killing me! Congrats!!!

If you already used the points on a stay, I don't see how you could change to SSR now.
The contract states that a buyer is liable for the full cost of any services provided if they rescind after using those services. If memory serves, the cost of those services is deducted from the down payment before it is refunded (which, at 10% probably covers any rack rate trip you could take with the points).

I just got an email from Disney Rewards that took me to this link

https://disneyrewards.com/offers/di...em&pub=dr&type=lto&crt=hero&plc=header&prd=pr
The fine print says the $1000 anniversary credit is only for purchases of 200 points or more.

DVC 35th Anniversary Offer: Offer to save an additional $1,000 requires new purchasers to participate in a Resort sales tour, either telephonically, online or in person (“Tour”), and buy an ownership interest with at least 200 Vacation Points in The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort – A Disney Vacation Club® Resort, The Villas at Disneyland® Hotel, AULANI, Disney Vacation Club Villas, Ko Olina, Hawaiʻi, Disney’s Riviera Resort, or Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.

----
But you can get $1000 off by having a Disney Visa if you buy at least 150 points.

Disney Visa Additional Credit Offer: Offer requires new purchasers to be a current Disney Visa cardholder and participate in a Resort sales tour, either telephonically, online or in person (“Tour”), and buy an ownership interest of at least 150 Vacation Points in AULANI, Disney Vacation Club® Villas, Ko Olina, Hawai‘i, Disney’s Riviera Resort, The Villas at Disneyland® Hotel, The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort – A Disney Vacation Club® Resort or Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows. Valid for existing Disney Visa cardholders.
Just want to give this post extra love because it just make the this round of incentives better for me! Thanks @ClaraOswald !!

So what would your plans be for hotel when going to Disneyland? Or would you just not do overnights there anymore?
I believe @Girlstar30 has a flexible schedule and enjoys playing the DVC slots. Her travel style will probably work out okay for Disneyland stays without owning in either hotel. I have to admit, I'm jealous of that much freedom.

Well my wife said hell to the no for SSR direct and brought me back to earth on how much I love real Disney and gave me permission to buy 200 vdh with this new $1000 off incentive so I guess thats why we're married 🤣🤣 My dumba$$ would have bought SSR and regretted it a month later 🤣🤣

Running the numbers on 200 points with new Visa discount, but I think thats where we're going to end up. Yes we have a flexible schedule and are always doing last minute stays so i thought it would be good for us, but the 20 extra years on vdh, cladsic disney love, ability to sell for more, rent for more, be proud of our home resort, and priority to go with our family here on holidays and special occasions that my wife pointed out trumps a cheaper price

Does anyone think this SSR sale is good enough that they could pull it before 4/27? The CCV sale last incentive cycle certainly was not. I believe I've heard about an OKW one that was pulled early not too long ago.

This article is saying the incentives are worse? Should I subtract and extra $1500 off of this because of disney visa and d23?
@tjkraz wrote what is available to everyone. It is written that D23 and and Visa card holders may receive other discounts but I don't think he was aware of the additional Visa discount amount and that D23 at time of publication to factor in those for the article.

I think you are ok but certainly double check the numbers with your guide.

No I don't.

Even though they could end up being close to the same price and maybe SSR actually comes out on top because of dues OKW still has special meaning being the first.
Also the 11 month window does help if you want to book the cheapest GV in all of DVC which is about 150 points less than the ones at SSR for a week.

Thanks. Appreciate your thoughts. Assuming I pass on the CCV flash sale (which I'm pretty sure I will), just trying to gauge how much time I have to think about this SSR sale.
