CCV: $209/point + $9.04 dues + 42 years on contract = $14.02 per point per year
SSR: $150/point + $9.19 dues + 28 years on contract = $14.55 per point per year.

When you look at the direct vs. resale values of CCV, SSR, and PVB (all O14 resorts) it looks like Disney values direct points to be worth about $50-60/pt more than resale.

With the non-O14 resorts (and Aulani) that premium goes all over the place. But when you think about it, that should be expected.

Don’t do it. Priority can be important at DLH which you love. Way shorter life and lower resale.

My question is will home resort even matter so much in the future when were competing with all these vdh resale only people. People are already frustrated not getting into their home resorts at 11 months sometimes. Imagine what is restricted only resort people fiasco will bring. Yes I am trying to justify what im considering doing. If I already used some points and opted out of MB but didnt use enough points that would put me over MB can I still do MB? Idk if that makes sense

But your prices weren't the prices above-- the last period VDH was $31300 for 150 and $41400 for 200. So compare accurately. You seemed so excited about VDH, so really think if you want to change.

What do you mean by “another 7 days” it is a readily available national promotion…

The law requires the pricing you are offered to be valid for 7 days.

DVC can remove incentives at any time prior to the offical end date..

So, it’s that happens and you are within 7 days from your “tour”, they have to honor even if they had discontinued early.

Every time people called and got pricing, DVC allowed it to start the clock.

Now, they are saying that what you are offered is good for only 7 days and if you don’t buy, you are completely locked out.

It seems that we have two different interpretations of what this means…some say they were told they can’t even buy with those incentives if they are still being offered and some of us believe it just means you aren’t guaranteed if things change after your 7 days.

I guess we need to wait for offical reports of someone being denied the ability to purchase.

And not just it needed special approval but actually being told it can’t be done.

I also think the continued strong discounting of Riviera is due to, well…ya know…

Careful - they were RINGING MY ROOM after I got a quote and walked out. Specifically told them I’m not making a decision of this magnitude on vacation but appreciated the info. Didn’t matter.
