I was wondering what everyone feels about having a wedding in early fall, that would be a pink colored wedding. I really wanted to have my wedding in April or May of 2008, but I will not be engaged until August of 2007 and do not think it will be enough time for guests to plan for a wedding in April, but I really want to have a pink wedding! what do I do???

I say choose whatever color you want! We are having a December wedding, but that doesn't mean the colors will be red and green. We're having blue and chocolate brown, which i guess would be more "fallish" colors.

I think pink is a great color in the fall...maybe you could pair it with a warmer color like a brown if you want to tie it in with the seasons better, but personally, i don't think it matters.

happy planning!:bride:

i got married in dec & I had pink flowers in my dress & I added extra pink gerbera daisies in my bouqet....anything goes nowadays

good luck;)

You could do pink and chocolate brown. Those colors would be great for fall.

I say do whatever colors you want! You could do a mix of pink shades that could look Fallish.

One of my BMs' brothers is getting married this summer. His fiance is having Christmas red and green as her colors b/c she really wanted a December wedding but it doesn't fit into her schedule b/c she's a teacher. I say do what makes you happy! It is your wedding :)

what about pink and gold, im not much of a gold person, and my ring will be white gold, do you think that is bad, also what about pink and silver or is that too springy? thanks for all your help, i was honestly thinking about getting married somewhere else since we couldnt do april!!!

I would say go with whatever colors YOU want!! No matter what, it is your special day and it would stink to regret that you didnt go with what you wanted just because it wasn't "in season". Besides even if it will be "Fall" the temperature in Florida will still reflect Spring and Summer! For example, I'm not planning on getting married until early January 2009, but my colors are Chambord (a dark pinkish maroon) and Citrus Green (bright lime green!!!!) and using a lot of green orchids in the bouquets and decor. Talk about not being winterish!! :yay:

Love love love the pink and chocoalte brown. So hot now. Or, you could do a medium tone pink and a fresh green. Like a cross between grass green and moss green. Nothing too lime. Needs to be rich and deep. (Sorry, ex-florist here)

I'm kinda against wrong colors in the wrong season. Yes, of couse people say do whatever you want, it's your wedding. But I'm a big believer in "tying everything together", looks well planned and polished. Colours, seasons, the tone of the wedding, and personal twists make an awesome day!

I agree..whatever color you want! Besides it is in Florida, it feels like Spring and Summer almost all year round! Go for it! :woohoo:

I've seen some pink and brown ideas in many wedding magazines lately, and I think it looks GORGEOUS! :thumbsup2 In fact a girl I work with had pink and brown as her wedding colors, and her wedding was this past October! Shhhhh...don't tell her...:rolleyes1 ...but I was a bit jealous of her color choices! :cutie:

I say do what you want!!! I was going back and forth over the same thing, should I do fall colors??? but my favorite color is green, so I really wanted to use green in there... although the green is a little more "spring"-ish. And then I realized, hey, it's an outdoor wedding, and it's in Orlando, so it will be warm there in October anyway.... why not go with green!! So my girls' dresses are an "apple" green.

Go with the colors YOU LOVE!

Definitely go with what you like and do whatever makes you happy! What kind of flowers/accent colors are you thinking?

Hey - my wedding was November 10 at Disney - my colors were flamingo accented with a lighte green only because the flowergirl had green in her dress - you are in FL and it looks like summer there - if I had been at home where there were bare trees I may have re thought it - but I probably would have still used pink maids it is my favorite color and I love the pics with the maids behind me in pink---

What do you think about pink in November ?

actually as I am thinking about it - I never would have done another color other than pink and my cousin really tried to get me to change because she thought she did not look good in light pink - I thought they all looked great in that color!!!!

Thanks! Like I said if it was Fall here at home where it may have been gray with no leaves....but there it looks like summer. It was actually funny - the girls wore thos at my Home Reception and that day - the saturday after Thanksgiving was WARM - it was a beautiful day almost 68 degrees - how crazy was that, all just for me. It is usually cold here by then - and pink is my fav - I would have to have pink!
