Is Spring Break really terrible??

We have tentative plans to go in February but now I am thinking about going for Spring Break but I am scared of the crowds. We normally go in the fall and LOVE it but we do not have plans for this year.

Our SB this year is March 30-April 6.

Can anyone advise?

I think that week (given that it is Easter week) will be one of the top 3-4 most crowded weeks of the year, so yes, I would consider that terrible. DH and I went on a solo trip this year the second week of March and I said I would never have wanted to be on our big family trip at that time, and it wasn't even the height of spring break season yet!!

yeah, I am thinking I better stay away.... :( Thank you for your insight!

We went for Spring Break 2 years ago (Easter Week) and we had a blast. Now we are very laid back, go with the flow type people so we always have a good time.

We were there for 8 days and before we left we had a plan in mind but if things changed no big deal. We bought the waterpark and Disney Quest feature with our tickets which was new for us. We also did early EMH and then took break around 1 and then went back to parks around dinner time.

On Easter Sunday we went to DTD and played in Disney Quest, DD visted BBB for her makeover. We then had dinner at 1900 Park Fair. We had time to kill before our Pirates and Pals voyage so we went into the Magic Kingdom and managed to ride Pirates, Haunted Mansion, and Its a Small World. We then did the Pirates and Pal voyage. We had the best Easter Sunday.

My kids said this was the best trip ever. They loved getting to do new things and if they got hot or tired we would leave the park, swim, rest a little and then head back. If they didn't feel like eating I would just cancel our reservations and if we ended up eating an ice cream sundae for dinner while watching parades or fireworks that was fine by them.

So please don't discount Spring Break. Will it be crowded? Yes can you still have a great time? Absolutley. You just may have to tour differently then you are used to.
