the crowds were really not as bad as I expected. As long as I got there early, we rode many rides in the first two hours.
We left the parks by lunch time as by them the crowds were definitely growing. but all in all , it was muchmore doable than I anticipated. I would do it again during spring break!

thanks

Were the extra magic evening's crowded?

I have to agree. We were there 4/15-4/19. After reading the boards I was sure I was going to hate my 4 days there. DD was dancing with the Disney Magic Music Days program. So, I guess I went down with very low expectations. Well, I did everything I set out to do and more. It helped having been there a few times before. So I knew what I wanted to do. The longest line we waited in was 40 min for RNR, only because my DD really wanted to ride it, it was 2:00 PM and we weren't going to be there later for a fastpass. We avoided MK on Easter, spent the morning at AK, did ALOT there, including EE twice, once with FP, and again in single rider line. Walked on safari, bugs life, dinosaur, triceritops whirl. The crowds were definately managable. I would do it again, if I had to go this week.

I posted something very similar when we returned from our March trip. When I was trying to plan my trip, I couldn't find very good info on what to expect. I posted, just so others would know.

Granted, I went in March and Easter was in April, but practically the whole state of Texas and a lot of Canada were on break during the same week, so crowds were predicted to be large.

We had a great time and I think with proper planning AND proper expectations, you can go during Spring Break and have a wonderful time! :wizard:

We're planning another Spring Break trip for the same week in March, for 2007. Our school has the same week off, regardless of when Easter falls. Easter will be closer to our break next year, so I think it might increase the crowds somewhat, but using the same plans I used in 2006, I'm confident that we'll have another great, line-free trip.

What I think would be helpful, if everyone that went during Spring Break, would post the week they went, the year they went and when Easter fell during that week. I think that would make a great trip-planning sticky.

In case anyone else thinks that would be helpful, here is mine.

Year: 2006

Trip Dates: March 11th - March 18th

Date of Easter: April 16th

Crowds: Light to Moderate (only the MK was crowded to the point of being uncomfortable for us, although we still didn't wait in any lines)

Just got back today, and I agree. As long as we got there early we did everything we wanted with out long waits. :thumbsup2

Getting there early is always a big help :)

Good to know about the crowd size. I'll be there next year April 4-12, 2007 and Easter will be on April 8. I have a feeling it is going to be crowded though with Spring Breakers and Easter being so close to together. I am going to do the early mornings, resort in the afternoon and going back at for ADR's or parade watching.
