spring break or fall break...how are the crowds?

After our visit this year we thought we would take a two year break, but alas we are thinking of returning in 2015 for either spring break or fall break.

Having visited for NYE and the new year once before we know about high crowd times...BUT what do those of you recommend that have done school breaks---spring or fall? Are the crowds about even?

Also, would it be sinful NOT to do MNSSHP for an Oct trip? We've never done MNSSHP or the christmas party so I am clueless on this.

I have done both and found the crowds to be about the same.
