We are looking to something a little different but at the same time use up the FF miles. Right now I can get seats for the following:

Puerto Rico
Seattle
Las Vegas
San Antonio

These are our top contenders.

In Vegas would stay on Lake Las Vegas, NOT ON THE STRIP and do Lake Mead, Hoover Dam and possibly the Grand Canyon

In Puerto Rico, we are looking at the Westin Resort in Rio Grand,

San ANtonio, the Riverwalk area and then out to this great looking Hyatt Resort.

Seattle, spend some time in the city, space needle and such, and just kind of wing it, driving up the coast.

I'm not sure how long before the seats are gone, so I am looking for feedback.

Any other suggestions are welcome and encouraged.

I would pick San Antonio. The weather would be great. You could take the kids to Sea World. The riverwalk is awsome.

Puerto Rico would be my first pick. I stayed at the Westin Rio del Mar. Unfortunately it was for work, so I didn't have a lot of time to see much. I would love to go back to see more! It is near El Yunque (sp???) and it was lovely. Of course, traveling through PR means that you see all kinds of interesting things, like people riding on horses on the shoulder of the highway. Nearly everyone under 45 learned English in school so the language barrier isn't great. I would also like to see San Juan!

Another vote for San Antonio. Is the resort, the Hyatt Hill Country. Its one of our favorite, but I dont think the lazy river would be warm enough then to swim in. I was also thinking of it for the ds spring break because they are getting weary of disney, sigh, sigh. You can look at other places near the riverwalk, the alamo, ripleys believe it or not, buckhorn huseum, zoo, brackenridge park, witte museum, there is also a cave not too far away that our ds loved going in. Small but cute. Not to mention Sea World and Fiesta Texas. Good luck deciding.

Yep it is the Hyatt. Hmm, never considered it would not be warm eough in Texas in April. I am getting so confused.

I think that San Antonio is pretty popular for spring break, so I'm avoiding it. I know way to many families that head there since it's close and relatively cheap.

We're trying to do a vegas trip, i figure it's not quite as popular of a spring break destination. It's also a pretty cheap vacation. Even on the strip there are so many things you can do with kids.

Puerto Rico would be nice, but I figure any tropical location would be busier then I want to deal with. I also figure the change in passport laws will draw more crowds to Puerto Rico in the short term.

Seattle, spend some time in the city, space needle and such, and just kind of wing it, driving up the coast.

If you decide on Seattle be sure to look into the City Pass option. Great way to see many of the cool things in the area and save money at the same time.

IMO it would be a good choice. Spring is really a beautiful time around here. :)

I'd pick Puerto Rico. I'd always take advantage of being able to travel outside the continental United States when I could - the others will still be there!!
