So despite our initial plan of heading back to Disney the END of 2015... we're now looking at going late winter early spring. I'm thinking February/March but want to avoid most spring break dates. Would love to take advantage of off season but the best weather possible in regards to rain, etc. We DON'T need heat (last trip was WAY hot!)

Any suggestions?

THANK YOU!

We went the first week of March this year (Wed-Fri) and it was great, crowd-wise. Went to the parks when we landed on Wednesday and DL on Thursday. It rained in the morning but cleared by the afternoon. The longest line was for Storybook Land Canal Boats (30 min). Everything else was very close to walk-on. Small World and Splash Mountain were closed for refurb. I would say the temp was in the 60s.

However, it was pouring down rain on Friday! We definitely needed the rain to help with this drought but frankly, it made the day at DCA amazing! It was completely dead (as everyone else was hiding in the Starbucks). Nothing was closed due to weather and pretty much practically walk-on for everything. Also, there was an initial crowd for RSR FP, but we went directly to Soarin and Muppets and once they were done, we walked right up and got RSR FP for 2pm that afternoon. We rode nearly every ride in DCA and were done with the park by 4pm -- just in time to rest at the hotel for a bit.

The one downside was that they cancelled the fireworks and Fantasmic, so we didn't get to see those.

I went over President's Day in 2013 and the crowds were astonishing.

I'm considering a March or May trip next year as well. March will be a gamble with the weather, but it has its benefits whether or not it rains.

We did May this year and it ended up being COOKIN hot and quite crowded. I think it's because we hit that week with multiple large refurbs (like pirates, indie, small world) Basically we're looking at anything between January - April AVOIDING any major holidays/spring break times.

We are looking at March 16-22 because that's DS's Spring Break. Hoping it won't be Spring Break for all of Southern Cali too!! LOL Hope to see some responses from folks in California about their Spring Break schedule!

Large school district in AZ with modified year round schedule:
March 7 - 23

Most districts in Phoenix metro area with 'regular' schedule:
March 7-15

Looks like Orange County district:
March 31 - Apr 6.
or March 23-27

We really like the last week in February, and the first week in March---both avoid the beginning of the Spring Beak rush, and we choose one of these weeks to visit the Resort every year!

We really like any time in Feb., BUT, have experienced more rain sprinkles in the earlier parts of the month, than the latter(this doesn't bother us, personally, but I know it does others.)

We've only encountered rain a couple of times over the years, when we've been there that first week in March.:)
