The wife retires the end of summer. We are trying to decide when to take the grand kids to Disney. I refuse to ever go in summer again for obvious reasons. We had always thought late September but now my DW is thinking February or March to get out of winter for a few days. I don't want to hit spring break crowds. And of course the weather is iffy as well. But if momma aint happy, aint nobody happy so we will go when she wants to go. Rooms in September are already hard to come by so it's time to start booking for next year if we are going then.
So what's your thoughts on Late Feb/Early March?

Late Feb/Early March would be great for missing Spring Break. Our son is on Spring Break this week. And most of the country, I believe, is either last week, this week, or next week.

I know September is out of the running but if you change your mind, the week after Labor Day is typically the least crowded of the year. February is pretty empty. I would be careful with March. The first few days are pretty safe but you have to watch. College kids do end up spring breaking here and that causes big crowds. I would stick to February and avoid President's Day (doesn't draw the biggest crowds but three day weekends always have more people than regular weekends)

I have heard that September can be very hot and humid just as summer would be so maybe best to avoid that month too?. Maybe a late February early March would work. We have gone in November before Thanksgiving and found crowds to be pretty tame if that's a month you can throw on the table . We have also gone early May and that was really a great time too. It was warm but not as bad as mid summer... less humid and less crowds. Hope that helps a bit.
