Spring Break Crowds Have Arrived!!

Yeah I looked on MDE today too and was shocked at wait times.
Isn't it early for spring break?

Much/most of Texas public schools are all on break this week.

This is correct. We live in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex and almost all the schools are out this week. Our hometown ones definitely are.

Ha, we live in the DFW area too and our spring break was last week. Always seemed early to me too but if the majority have theirs other weeks, then we may look into trying Disney during our next spring break! Interested to see how the crowds during "our" spring break week compare to summer crowds.

Woohoo! Hoping for a low-crowd first week in April. Looks like we have covered the Canadians and the Texans and the band and cheer groups and the Easter vacationers.

Maybe everyone will have already been to Disney by the end of March? :bitelip:

Most of Oklahoma is on spring break this week too. There is another state for you.

We were there Feb. 28 to March 5 and it was starting to feel crowded. I guess some colleges were on break. We pulled my daughter from preschool but there were tons of little kids at the parks.
Our spring break is next week (WI).

Definitely adding March to list of months to never visit WDW

Is March worse than June?
Or same?

I think it's partly the timing of Easter this year. We went the third week of March last year, did early mornings and 'take it easy afternoons' and there were only a couple times where crowds felt overwhelming. I wouldn't not go in March (other than this year when my kids' spring break coincides with Easter). We're going in May this year so we'll see how different the crowd levels are.

We're in DFW, too, and our spring break was last week as well. In fact, we just got back from Disney World yesterday. Some Texas districts were out last week, but most are out this week, including the biggest districts. We had great luck with low crowds last week, but our district has decided to push spring break back a week for next year to be in line with the rest of the state. So, no more low spring break crowds for us. By the time we left on Saturday, I swear every other person there was from Texas. Even the CM's were joking about it.

We went the first two weeks of March last year and it was manageable. I thought November was more crowded really!

Space Mountain listed at 185 minutes!!
Jungle Cruise 70 minutes.
Safari over at AK is listed 130 minutes.

None of the waits are out of the ordinary for this time of the year, just normal long lines.

My university breaks the first week in March, used to be 'Our Week' for years. On arrival crowds weren't too bad but as our trip wound down it was obvious the crowds were growing, we were glad to be outta there before the 10th. Despite enjoying that time, something to get us through a lousy Pa Winter, and meeting great people (Hi, Paul And Priscilla!), we gave that up for Food&Wine.

We were there 3/6-3/10 & you could tell the breakers were there. I live in Central Florida & only a portion of the Central Florida schools have even gone on Spring break yet. We call it rolling spring break where I work as it won't end until some time in April for the schools & colleges.

We left WDW yesterday. I was in MK yesterday morning, and yes, the spring breakers have arrived. The week before was awesome. Crowds were the lightest I've seen in years. Once the weekend started, crowds picked up. We were super happy with our week.

We are headed down the first week of April and I have my fingers crossed for low crowds as well. We are one of the only school breaks in the area that week (one city in Connecticut), NYC is the last week of April and most of CT are the week before Easter.
