Spring Break? 1st Week of April

I'm trying to figure out just how busy it will be. I have seen a lot of post re the week before and after Easter and for the middle of April where crowd levels are suppose to be high. Does anyone know how busy it is suppose to be the first week of April (4th to 12th)? Thanks.

We were there last year, the 1st through 4th, didn't find it too bad! The weather was alittle cool, too cold for swimming in my opinion! Just plan for crowds, get going early and use fastpass when you can. With careful planning, you should be able to enjoy your trip despite crowd levels.

That is the downside of going this time of year - You have to pack clothes for both warm and cool weather and bring a change of clothes to the parks if you don't plan on going back to the resort. Last year it was cold in the mornings and evenings (jeans and sweatshirts), but warmed up enough during the day so that we were comfortable in shorts.

We are leaving Friday, so I've checked the weather forecast and it looks as though it is going to be the same this year. I was really hoping last year was an aberration because many of the CMs were commenting on how unseasonably cool it was, but I guess not! It looks as though our first two days down there (Apr 2 and 3) will be on the cool side but then warming up later on in the week. Even then, it will still be cool in the evenings, so I am planning on double-packing for each day. That is going to be a lot of stuff because there are 5 of us and I don't do laundry on vacation! Ah well, DH loves the cooler weather so I guess it is worth it if it keeps him happy!

I just checked the long term forcast for Friday and it will be 44°F here and 75°F in Tampa. That's warm enough to swim in

well it wont be as crowded as the 2 weeks around easter but it is spring so it will still be busy. it looks like the weather will be 75-85 and the weather channel says after the next wave on tues and wed there will be a drying trend so the week should be rain free for the most part. If they are correct but when are weatherman correct?

Last year was chilly the first week of april, we only had one day over 75 but that was still warm enough for us, the kids still hit the heated swimming pool.

I agree Bluenoser! Here in STL where it's been freezing these past couple months 75 degrees is warm to me and we will definately be swimming!!

Thanks. I was hoping the crowds would be down a little. I think the weather is relative to where you live - our temps for July-August are 70°F-75°F (sorta like Maine) so anything in or above that range is a bonus

I'm going April 5-8 ~~ only planned this quick trip 2 weeks ago. If resort availability is any indication of how the crowds will be, it shouldn't be too bad that week. I had many options for booking a room; there were even 50% off CM rooms available, which is unusual on such short notice.

Checked on the 10-day weather forecast and it looks great!
