Spring blockout lifted for FL resident passes

I would love to know the answer to that.

They also lifted a lot of CM block out dates for signing in guests.

My guess, is that they are hedging against all the recent changes (the hefty price increases and cuts) and possible cancelled trips among and possible backlash from the "local" group who wait until last minute to book their one day or weekend trips. They want a little cushion of traffic until all the negative buzz settles back down.

Or expected bookings are already not meeting projections, and it's not a hedge at all.

I also got a mailer with the first ticket offer of any kind that I've seen a while (adding free park hopping to 6 day tickets). I can't remember the last time the mailers I got were anything other than resort discounts or free dining.

Wonder if they will add season passes to this deal. I have some voiding coming down I was thinking if meeting but it's during spring break and I didn't want to have to pay for more tickets.

Is this valid for Silver pass holders?
Yes ...pretty sure the Silver Pass is only for FL Residents and the link/article above was discussing the blockouts for Spring Break being lifted for the FL RES pass. And ArwenMarie....if $$$ were the reason, not sure why they blocked out those dates to begin with?? My daughter is a FL Res and purchased her pass in January with those blockouts----she is surprised they are being lifted 3 mos later. If money is the reason, for that matter, then why blockout ANY AP holder?? I have a Gold AP with Spring Break and Dec 18-Jan 3 blocked out. Why not lift my blocks too if money is the only object? I think hopemax gave a reasonable explanation. And Angel Ariel....that is very interesting about the free hopper add-on's for those passes. Thanks all for the feedback. I was just curious.

This has happened in the past with the Discover Disney spring deals (which are no longer available). A few years ago there was a black out on Memorial Day weekend; then, all of a sudden, only MK was blacked out. The decision must have to do with changes in attendance projections, but it's nothing new.

I'm not sure why but we are here now. Went to opening day of F & G yesterday. We were surprised that it was not overly crowded.

Question: I have one of those FL tickets (4-Day) with one more day left from December. I know they don't expire for six months, so I could use it on March 19 now even if it was purchased in December?

If you take this info and add it to the park hours for the week following Easter (no 7AM EMH like previous years) it leads DVCcurious to believe that there will be fewer people in the parks than last Easter.

So maybe they won't be 10 level days after all! Maybe we'll only have to deal with 9 level crowds!
