Spring 2012 Hopeful!

I would love to be there for Star Wars Weekend! I love that event so much. I like the spring term because Easter Sunday, Star Wars Weekend, and for Flower and Garden Festival. I'm sure the busiest week working during the Spring term would be Spring Break, but I think the rest should be quite normal because of kids in school. Fall term looks fun because of Christmas and New Years, but I kind of don't like Fall because I don't like Halloween.

I probably wouldn't mind doing online classes during the CP. But do you have to tell the recruits about doing online classes when you interview?

You don't have too tell them. As long as it doesn't make you miss work or anything they don't care what you do away from work. (As long as its legal of course...)

You could tell them though I plan on telling them. Also Spring Break would be busy if you did regular Spring but if you did Advantage it would be July 4th by far! I bet it's scary crowded!:scared1::scared1:

Just being at the parks during 4th of July is scary! :rotfl:

I also plan to tell them if I do an online course. I would much prefer to have some time off to do homework and study. But I am pretty sure I will end up doing some of the CP classes since I have never done an online class and I don't know how they work. :headache:

Just some advice I plan on doing. If you are going to take classes at Disney (I'm going to take one) I would do all my home work on the class days for both Disney (they give a little bit not too much) and online classes. I plan on basically one of my days off being a school day.

That sounds like a plan.

I want to only do one Disney class and then one online one.

What Disney class are you all considering taking/thinking about?

You guys, I'm so excited for this I can hardly stand it.

Tonight, my roommate let me practice apply under her name to practice the WBI...and I passed!

Then I thought...six months from now, give or take, all of us will be applying for real to become CPs!

Ohgosh. ohgosh. ohgosh. so. excited. :cool1:

Hey ya'll! I'm also applying for the Spring 2012 program! I go to the University of TN in Chattanooga which is about 2 hours from Atlanta!!

I want to know what it's like to be in fur. I want to audition to hopefully be a face character, but I was wondering what it's like to be in fur. Is it still fun? Do you still get to see the look on those kids' faces when they come see you

Welcome to our thread!

As far as I know, anyone who is cast as face also does fur. So if you get face, you'd definitely do some fur too.

I'm not sure how well you can see but you have to be able to see well enough to sign those autographs perfectly so i would imagine you would have a great view of anything you were looking at.

Has anyone done fur before? Is it fun? I know I have to do fur in order to do face, and that I might only get offered a fur role-if anything-so I was wondering if that was fun. Is it worth doing despite the heat?

My height range is between the 4'8-5'0 so I think that's Minnie, Chip and Dale...Has anyone done those characters? I think Minnie would be fun

Heh, I don't know about that. Some characters have pretty poor vision

At that height, you would be friends with Mickey, Minnie, Stitch, Donald, Piglet (among others). Also, that would be too short for Chip and Dale

Hey everyone! Just stopping by to say "hi!" :)

We had a CP presentation at my campus this week for fall...but I went anyways (and won a prettttyyyy sweet pen!!)! haha, can't wait! And I was at the parks last weekend--soooo excited to work there!

I saw the post about heights required to be friends with characters--I'm 5'3". I know I can be friends with Alice and Wendy, but what about the princesses? I've heard mixed things.

5'3 might be too tall for Alice and Wendy (usually they stop at 5'1-5'2). As for princesses, they usually start around 5'4-5'5 (it all depends on Casting).

I feel left out maybe I should audition too. I only want to be Buzz though! :)

I am also not going to audition. I would like to, but I don't look like any character. :rotfl:

My family says I should be Snow White (ever since I was little I had a snow white dress and I have black short hair) but I am not tall enough to play a princess. I also have freakles. Why me?!

If I could audition I would do it to be a dancer only. Ever since I saw the Beauty and the Beast show in HS for the first time, I've wanted that pink dress the dancers/singers wear in the end. :lovestruc

I'm not auditioning either. As much fun as it would be, I don't look like any face character at all.

i think i am going to audition just to do it. if i could be anybody i would want to be ariel =] but i am way to short to be a princess, im 5'2" :(

I wouldn't mind dancing there but I don't have any kind of dancing in my back ground. I could learn simple parade dances but not for B&tB.

You can be some of the best furs though!:wizard:

Hey Cp hopefuls! I just wanted to say goodluck to all of you! The whole application, waiting and acceptance period is exciting, nerve wrecking, and stressful but amazing all at the same time!

A few tips for you guys is to read up all you can about the internship before applying
network with other people applying and find out what they have to say
read up on current CP blogs and follow newly accepted cps on their journey through the waiting process and their whole program. Thats what I did and it helped soo much!!

Soo if anyone has any questions feel free to PM me or comment on my blog
http://alyssasdreamcometrue.blogspot.com/2011/03/day-7.html
and ill do my best to help you out. So I will be going down in may for my first CP as an attractions cast member, let me know if you want to chat!!!

Goodluck everyone!
:cheer2:

I also do not have any dancing background. I am a fast learner though. In my middle school I did the play Grease, and I was a background singer/dancer. All I did was learn the steps and I got them pretty quickly. But dancing on my own I look crazy LOL.
