Spring 2012 Hopeful!

I can't do spring advantage because I am on semesters not quarters. =[ so my school starts like August 10th around there... so I'm just hoping I can extend til the end of July.

Meee too! I was in class yesterday and I had to force myself to stop thinking about DCP and pay attention I need to get a job though. I'm thinking I could handle one while I'm in school right now, and I'd like to work throughout the summer as well. It's ridiculous, I'm already thinking about what I want to pack, how much to bring, etc.

I know, I think it's so cool to think that we could all be down there at this time next year. AT THIS VERY MOMENT.

I can't wait to finally start making a vlog on youtube lol, I would make one now but i think it's kind of early lol

with spring advantage you can leave anytime you want to.

really because I read on the dcp website that you had to be on the quarter-system to do spring advantage... It would be nothing for me to come back august 1st and start school august 10th (i'm ballparking I have no idea the actual date it is but somewhere around there) lol but I didn't know they would let me!

spring advantage people leave earlier than spring people?

Well just a little the big advantage though is the staying longer. But some spring people go in Jan some go in Feb.

i believe its anytime after graduation, my sister did the program and thats what she told me. you can always call disney recruiting and ask them.

Yeah, I think I want to make vlogs too! But I'm not going to yet for the same reasons. So many people start vlogs a little too early. I think I want to start making them later this summer, maybe in late July or early August.

I hope I won't be too busy to update a couple of times during the program. So many people just stop after their program starts, which is pretty understandable. I still want to try though

I agree! I think about it all the time too!

Thankfully, one of the librarians I work with (I have work study at the library), loves Disney too so I talk about it with her and she told me yesterday that she made Broque crack up (her husband), because she told him "Just think, this time next year I'll hopefully be able to call/email Carrielee and get the inside Disney scoop."

If you do Spring and extend over the summer, the extension goes until mid August

with spring advantage you can leave anytime you want to.

Not true. The only reason one would be able to leave safely from the CP would be a school-related release (and it's only 2 weeks before the end of the CP).

Are you all doing anything to prepare for that interview and if so what? Also what are these Vlogs/blogs you are talking about? I want her to join this thread so she can get some advice about this the 2nd time around. Thanks

Some people make videos or write blogs to document the experience, either to help other people or for their own personal memories or to keep friends and family updated.
As for interview prep, there isn't much to learn really besides being positive, and making yourself seem like a really great person for the job. The web interview is a little trickier in the sense that their actually is a formula to it.

Tell her to join! She will be able to apply the first day the apps come out anyways since they won't come out until August. We can help her and you with any questions you may have!

to look at vlogs go onto youtube and search "disney college program" and a ton of vlogs will come up about the program and peoples experiences. also you can type in "disney college program interview" and it will come up with all the vlogs based on the phone interview or web-based interview.

Well, that would be up to you (I was just letting you know that both Spring Advantage and extension both go until Aug. There are no July check-out dates).

Hello! I'm new to the fourms. I joined to make new disney friends and because I also want to join the Disney College Program.

I also plan to do Spring 2012. Right now I am in my second semester as a first time college student at a community college. I could have done the CP already, but since I plan to transfer into a university for this fall term, I want to do the CP as a student in the university. It's a pleasure to see many people here also interested for the Spring 2012 CP. I'm sure I'll make new friends here. =]
