So nobody has gotten thier letters yet???? When did applications officially start being accepted? I'm really nervous about getting into the program. :scared:

Applications went up on Wednesday Aug 20th, I believe and they started interviewing on Monday August 25th.
I'm with a couple of the previous posters, though... 1. Even if i do get my letter i still have to wait for a million days to go down... HOWEVER, at least i can fill that time by planning and shopping and stuff, lol. And 2. Disney really does need to get on the move. They think they are behind now, just wait lol.

Hopefully we hear really soon, but im prepared to wait a while more.

Oh, it was me that called yesterday to Disney Recruiting. I talked to a girl named Rachel. Somone else should call today and see what's going on with the letters... the girl i talked to didnt really know what she was talking about, i dont think.

My best guess is that they are mailing the letters this week and we will all get them next week. I had my interview on the 25th so next week will be three weeks for me. Hopefully we all know soon. Although i already got my mail today and there was no letter. oh well as long as I get in I dont care how long it takes.

I'll get in touch with my recruiter and see if I can get a more concrete answer. It doesn't seem sense that they would start counting from the time they receive your application by mail since A) they told people the wrong thing and B) their internal time can be longer than mailing time.

On that note, I haven't gotten an email stating they received my paper application, so I'm going to check with them about that.

edit: was looking back at my emails and I received this on Sept 2nd, which was also the day of my interview:

Greetings from the Walt Disney World Resort! Thank you for submitting your faxed application and role checklist to our office.

If you have not already done so, please make sure to mail your original signed application and signed role checklist to:

Disney College Recruiting
c/o E-Presentation
PO Box 10090
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

If you have not already scheduled a phone interview, please contact our office at 1.800.722.2930 to set up a phone interview appointment. Our office is open Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 6 PM EST.

If you have already completed an interview, you should receive a decision from us in the next 2 – 4 weeks via US mail. If your address has changed from your application, please let us know.

That indicates to me that it's from the date they receive the fax or the date of your interview, whichever was latest. In my case, the same day, so I'm now at 1 week and 1 day in my counting

Hey everyone that is waiting - I'm currently in the program and went through this exact same thing last January. They post the application before they are ready to start accpting applicants and what not. So for you early bees, you'll have to wait an extra long time because they'll probably start accepting once the presentations start.

You'll probably end up waiting the full 4 weeks (if not more), whereas people who apply later only have to wait 2. Just a heads up! Between my presentation and acceptance (there was an audition in there) I waited for an entire two month period. Those without auditions waited maybe 4-6 weeks. Just put on your waiting cap!

I'm just going to try and "forget" about the application (if that's possible) so that I can be really surprised and excited when I get the mail and it's there XD

This happens every year...

It sure does!

Today is my 2 week mark. I just want the agonizing wait to be over. I hate going to my mailbox and seeing it empty. Guess I just have to be patient...

Today is my two week mark. Still no letter :sad2:

It will be two weeks for me this friday so I won't be expecting anything till next week or even the week after that. I'm still going to be running to the mailbox every day though XD

Just hang in there! Hopefully they will be here soon.

Thankfully i'm bringing my car. I hope I can help my roommates out with rides and such. What are the main differences between Chatham and Patterson?

Besides the buses, the only real difference (to me) is the apartment sizes. The bathrooms are definitely smaller at Patterson, and everything else felt a little smaller too.

I just wanted to say that anyone that hasnt gotten an email from disney about receiving your stuff I wouldnt worry too much, I never got and email so I called Disney and they assured me that they had everything so I guess they dont always send them out.

See, and then they make us all nervous when they only send it to some people. :sad2: Glad to hear you have confirmation from someone down there, though. It makes me feel a lot better.

I haven't been on here in forever, I don't really know why. I hate waiting, especially when school SUCKS and I need something to look forward to...

Haha I feel the same way. I'm so burnt out from school and I need major break. Please God let me get accepted into the CP!!!

o man... i was kinda gettin excited thinking i could possibly get my letter this week or next..now i just read probably not :(

this is no beuno. like everyone else, i'm about go nuts waiting!! and i've had a bad bad bad week so i need some good news fast:eek:  :guilty:

What's the number that everyone is calling to see if they got their stuff? I wanna call and make sure :]

Argh! Major frustration. I left a message for my Disney contact/recruiter-type person while she was out of town for a conference, checking to make sure they had my paperwork. I got an e-mail back today saying that they'd received my fax but not my paper application, yet. And apparently they're going from the date of your paper application (which is stupid, 'cause let's be honest--it's exactly the same!), because she said it would be another two-three weeks before I heard!

This wouldn't be such a big deal, except I have a meeting with my adviser on Monday and he's going to want a solid reason for my plan to take a leave of absence next semester. Not "well, I might be doing this thing at Disney World." I mean, that doesn't sound particularly reassuring, even to me. I know that it's highly likely I'll get in with how well my interview went (on the very first day of interviews, too!) and my guest service experience. It's just frustrating that I can't give anyone concrete answers.

Anyway, the point is that everyone should know that they're going from the day they get your paper application as two-three weeks. Not from the interview, like I was told.

Does anyone think it'll hurt me in getting the job I want if it took them so long to get my paper application? I want either hospitality or attractions.

Someone is reporting in the Facebook group that a letter has been received!!

I really hope I get my letter soon. Target is having major clearances on their dorm stuff, and if I get accepted to CP, then I want to buy some of it for my apartment.
