Can anyone tell me if the aeresol sunscreen is allowed on planes in checkedin luggage. I dont want to buy it then have them remove from the luggage.

No they are not. Unfortunately I didn't think that one through enough about 3 summers ago. We were going directly to the pool once we got to the hotel so I packed 4 cans of it in my carry-on luggage and it was taken away by airport security. So I learned the hard way, had to go by more once we landed! So be sure to pack it in your checked luggage! :goodvibes

The OP specifically asked if it could be carried on in checked luggage.

Yes, you can place aeresol sunscreen in your checked luggage.

Since the previous poster noted that you can take it in your checked luggage, not carry on, I would just like to add that you may want to consider sticking it into a gallon baggie inside your luggage. That way, if something were to cause it to leak (i.e. pressure changes or other luggage pressing the cap down) it won't get all over your clean clothes or into other people's luggage.

I would do the same with any other liquids that are packed in my checked baggage. Just an added precaution so you don't have to worry about doing laundry upon arrival at WDW.

Oops, sorry! Obviously I read it too fast! Sorry for that, but at least I answered your question by accident.

Good idea about the zip loc bag, I do that with anything that might spill or pop.

While you're at it, put ALL of your liquids in ziplocks. Your dry socks will thank you later :lmao: :thumbsup2

Man that stinks, that stuff is expensive!

Ditto on putting all liquids inside of a ziploc bag.. checked or not... I learned from experience ... a huge aerosol can of my very expensive hairspray burst in my luggage & ruined EVERYTHING! Never again!

Yes, it is allowed to be in your checked luggage, but as others have said, put that in addition to the rest of your liquids, gels, and aerosols in a plastic bag that can be closed.
