So we are fixing the basement...thanks to the flooding. Surprise cost that we don't have but in a bi-level it's just something that needs done. Goodbye February Dis trip
plus more!! Anyways, looks like cinder block underground walls were never waterproofed at all and then they used regular crappy 2x4's on top. They are rotted and we need it all out. I'm ready to move forward but I'm not sure about what to insulate/waterproof with. Anyone have closed cell insulation? Do you love it? I guess we are looking at some kind of dry-lock...only a kind that lasts longer and then an inch or so of closed cell spray foam. Guy fixing the house says it's the best. I'm just not completely sold. Anyone with experience? Thanks!
