UGGGHHH!!!!! I am going to Disney for Thanksgiving and just severely sprained ankle! It sucks!!!!! I hope that I am going to be ok to do all that walking. I have been doing the R.I.C.E.(rest, ice, compression, elevation). I hope that it completely heals by then. My 40 year old body doesn't get better as fast as it used to.:sad1:

Aww that sucks! If it makes you feel any better, I'm right with you, although mine is my knee. I apparently tore a couple ligaments, so I get to wear a big bulky brace and am told to use my crutches whenever possible. Ice is your friend, always have a back up ice pack in the freezer.

BTW, the physical therapist at my hospital was telling me apparently you can freeze detergent, and it acts like a gel ice pack... it doesn't freeze into a solid chunk, rather stays somewhat gel-like, so you can wrap it around your ankle or knee or whatever, and it's cheaper than buying those things from a drugstore. I haven't tried this yet though, so I don't know how well it works.

I sprained my ankle in the spring. It hurt for a few weeks and I was chasing a toddler all day. This was the 6th time I sprained that ankle. You should be fine by Thanksgiving.

This is actually true. I forgot I had a bottle of detergent in my car last year during below freezing weather and it didn't freeze. It was very thick like a gel. It was really weird using it until it thawed out.

Yeah, I hear ya. I sprained my ankle earlier this year (back in May), and my ankle is JUST NOW feeling like it's nearly back to normal. Ugh, such a pain!
