Sports: Deflate-Gate

Thank you so much for correcting me on how I think and feel. You obviously know better than anybody how a complete stranger's mind works.

Thank you also for proving my point about over the top Pats apologists. You are way too invested in this team when you start calling people names, telling them they are wrong and how you know they really think, telling posters they are clueless and haters. And if they don't agree with you, they are not smart and are just haters. Right.

Act like a grown up and admit that, if the Pats sucked, you and everyone else in America wouldn't care about this. The only reason why you and anyone else cares is because of the Patriots success. This isn't just me saying this, but many in the media admit this as well. BTW when Malcolm Butler intercepted the pass to end the Super Bowl besides being ecstatic because I'm a Pats fan, I enjoyed it because I knew haters like yourself were p*ssed!!!:dogdance:

What was the PSI prior to the game? I guess I missed where they said that.

Yes, they filmed from the incorrect area.

It's not any more.

Actually, they agreed Brady did NOT deflate them. He "probably, in a general way" knew the other guy was doing it. :scratchin

Hear Hear!!!

pat fan, please don't give out the answers.:rolleyes1

tsk tsk...more name calling.

page 7 of the Wells report PDFs (numbered as page 3 ), points 2 and 3. The officials inspected the balls prior to the game and they were within the rule.

It was a period??? I'm just asking as I really don't care to read through the report.

Sorry, I misunderstood your question so deleted my response. I'm sure someone else can find it faster than me.

$750,000 in fines (the maximum sentence) for an honest mistake? Possible, but not likely.
I answered the question that was asked, I do not pretend to know if it was honest or nefarious, just that it was filmed from an area that is against the rules as opposed to where it would be legal.

You're lecturing someone on acting like a grown up?? :rotfl:

What was the PSI?

They don't know because they never actually check -given the situation, they had no other choice but to say, "sure, we checked them."

This is pretty common knowledge according to a retired referee. He was quoted as saying they feel them up, eyeball them, and head out to the field.

I am a lifelong Patriots fan, from long before they were good (from even before they were briefly good in 1985). Growing up, we had season tickets and went to pretty much every game in Foxboro Stadium, perhaps the biggest dump in NFL history, and went to the games when they went 1-15, and we had them when they became good and still went to nearly every game at Gillette until we moved away. I am disgusted by their cheating. It does not matter if every other team is doing it (and I doubt every team is doing it--it's an excuse that sounds a lot like how alcoholics and drug addicts assume everybody has the same issues with drugs and alcohol that they do). It does not matter if they would have won anyways (and, sadly, I think they would have, which makes the cheating even more foolish). And I am deeply saddened, although not surprised, to see the hypocrisy amongst many apologists who on so many other threads claim to have such issues with what they perceive as cheating and rule breaking...

Interesting. I wonder why on the Patriots balls Blakeman's reading are consistently under Prioleau's, yet when it comes time to check Indy's his gauge is mysteriously over? That shouldn't be.....

Uh oh!
They probably just switched gauges when they switched from the Pats' balls to the Colts'...every measurement is about 0.4 different. The difference just switches from one side to the other when they changed teams.
