It was hot that day....lol

Turf Club Dinner

Thought we were going to have to cancel this one, our youngest was complaining of "stomach aches." We think she was just over hungry, we skipped lunch this day.

We had a app. of Onion rings. Onion rings were good, we didn't care for the sauces.

We all had the same entree, the grilled NY Strip:

We all enjoyed this plate, steaks were done to our liking. Kids ate it, so it must be good.

Desserts:

Warm Apple Crisp

Chocolate Espresso Torte

My one daughter didn't care for this, too much coffee flavor for her.

Good place to eat dinner. 2 thumbs up!

Glad to hear you liked Turf Club. We're going there for the 1st time this May. Pictures look yummy!!

fantastic reviews........thanks a zillion for taking those photos.....makes me hungry too..

NOW the question of the week.....now were the buns.....the meatball subs looks like they had regular bread and not the multigrain???

We are trying Cape May Buffet in two months ...thanks for the reviews....

Sorry for the delay folks! We left WDW on the 24th. Had a long drive to NY. Got car sick and at the same time got a bad cold/fever. Not a pleasant trip home for me.

The meatball sub looked to me like it was NOT multigrain. I could be wrong, my daughter was eating it. I was looking at It's a Small World.

If it seems like I'm skipping meals, breakfast and lunch, it's because either we skipped a meal and starved ourselves for a big dinner, or it's because it's the same thing; bounty breakfast platter, etc...

Ok...onward...

We have found the best breakfast sandwich ever. No kidding. It's at Hollywood Studios! Fairfax Fare...

So yummy...

English muffin with egg, cheese, bacon or sausage. OMG. Where has this been? It's not on the dining plan, but it's well worth the $.

Because we were so impressed with the sandwiches at Fairfax Fare, I've decided to post a pic that shows how much meat and egg are inside this sandwich..

I know some people don't like pics that show a bite taken out, but I have to take a chance. Sorry for those who it offends.

2 sausage patties, 2 big slabs of egg...yum.

Okay, no more pics of half eaten food, promise.

We actually skipped lunch after the awesome sandwiches at Hollywood Studios. Gasp! I know...

Since we were staying at Bay Lake, we decided to try The Wave for dinner.

We were checking out the cool blue room, when our buzzer went off. Less than 5 minutes, not bad.

The husband and I had the grilled beef tenderloin:

The daughters wanted the beef, but we subbed out the potato and onion gratin for something called potato waffles.

The husband broke off a chunk of the waffle, and, yup, it tastes just like a waffle.

Desserts were fun. You get 3 different samples on one plate.

The husband had the Creamy Indulgence:

He did not like the coffee creme brulee.

DD12 had the freshly made gelato:

Popcorn, Peanut butter & jelly and rocky road flavors....She could have taken this or left it.

DD11 & I had The American:

The Boston creme pie was :thumbsup2

Overall, this was a good experience. Wish the beef was bigger, but that's just us. Good flavors. I especially liked the potato & onion gratin.

Would we eat here again? hmmm, that's a tough one. If we were staying at Bay Lake again, probably. If we were staying somewhere else, we wouldn't seek it out.

Thanks for the reviews. Looking at WCC, I'm surprised by the pics. I've never considered it because I thought the food would be too heavy, but that pot roast looks pretty darn delish. ANd the veggies look nice and crisp. Were they good?

The Pot Roast is "da bomb"

My Daughter was so angry we weren't eating there again, because she wanted the pot roast again.

Her exact words are "awesome."

Can't comment on the veggies, we were happy she ate all her meat.

Didn't mind that bite into breakfast sammie one bit! :thumbsup2 Interesting about the Wave- that's what I was wondering, whether or not it would be worth it to go out of the way for-

Glad you're feeling better- sounds like a rough ride home!

Thanks Great pictures of Whispering Canyon Cafe

Dinner was @ 5:20 yesterday...

We were seated, guess where? Way back in the corner and around the bend...Whaaaaattttt? :confused3

We couldn't see diddly. Granted my kids are a bit older, 11/12yrs old...but really??? I felt like I did something wrong... But ok, not a huge deal, I guess. It's just fun to watch all the stuff that goes on. Not on this day.

Some more bad news.....ready??? The Rib Eye is gone from the menu. :scared1: Yes...really.

In it's place is this:

New York Strip. It was suppose to come with sweet potato fries. But husband subbed them with regular fries.

I had:

Both girls had:

Pot Roast. They inhaled the meat.

Desserts were huge.

Husband had the Smores Cheesecake:

DD12 had the caramel apple pie:

DD11 and I had the chocolate cake:

5451688836_222d0674b9.jpg

We tried really hard to finish them, we really did. But just really big pieces of cake.

Tonight is 1900 Park Fare. Don't think I'll be taking pics...but if a really handsome Prince Charming comes around...maybe I will. lol. The husband can take the step sisters.

We still have 7 more days of food... eating at The Wave, Turf Club, Raglan Road, Ohanas (we have a surprise ordered for this day), crystal palace and Liberty Tree tavern (lunch) just to name a few.[/QUOTE]

Laughed so hard when you said the beef should have been bigger @ the Wave. DH and DS25, both over 6 ft and about 200 lbs, ordered the filet. When it came and it was so small DH said 'where's the beef'. I laughed so hard I cried(and snorted):rotfl: It couldn't have been more than 4oz. They finished it in about 3 bites. We were on the plan so the desserts helped fill them up. We tried it again but we won't rush back. The 2nd time didn't impress either!
Great pics everyone!

We ate dinner around 5:30 and the restaurant filled up quickly. We were surprised to see that the menu had changed since Valentine's Day. No more lamb shank. It was replaced with beef short ribs which were "melt in your mouth". The seafood in tomato/fennel "broth" was more like a paste. The shrimp and mussels were good but the clams were overcooked and about as big as your thumbnail. We enjoyed our two meals in February more.

Thank you for the reviews of The Wave and Captains Grille. I have been trying to decide which of the two, to try. I was looking for a non-park restaurant, that would not be to difficult to get reach. I think we will try Captains Grille.

Thanks for your reviews! I liked that they were short, sweet and to the point! :upsidedow

those onion rings look soo good!.

can't wait to read and see more!.
