Spoodles

We ate here just the other week. It's fine, not particularly spectacular Mediterrean style food. I actually really enjoyed the bread and different dips appetizer. However, the main course (I had the salmon) was really quite unremarkable and kind of gave me heartburn later.

The service was fine as well. All in all a very "meh" experience that we probably won't repeat anytime in the near future because there are simply too many other really good dining options to explore.

We ate at Spoodles in December and we all loved it!

DH had a steak which he enjoyed.

I had the alfredo which was good.

The kids also had very good strip steaks from the children's menu.

The creme brulee was fabulous.

Highly reccomended by our brood.

I love Spoodles! Definitely in my top 5 must-do's.
I had the garlic shrimp with preserved lemons and it was absolutely the best thing I had!
I loved the olive tapenade with the fresh bread. I miss good bread when I'm in FL (I'm from New Jersey, very close to New York- and pizza, bagels and bread are our biggest assets here) and this was the closest to home I found- fabulous!
Rigatoni with sausage and portobellos was yummy, lemon chicken was nice and moist and tender and the couscous with veggies was phenomenal. My dream meal would be the garlic shrimp from the appetizer over that couscous. I'm going to ask next time.
We had the dessert tapas platter which had pistachio gelato that was very fresh and had lots of pistachio grains in it, a yummy creme brulee and a few other small desserts- on had a raspberry filling and one was chocolate and orange, I believe.
As always, everyone has different opinions, but if the menu sounds good to you, why not try it?

we are supposed to dine here this weekend but I was thinking of changing to something else....

we ate here a few weeks ago and we all enjoyed it. It was a last minute decision, we walked up and were seated in about 2 minutes. We had the flatbread and salads for apps, and the chicken , steak, and alfredo for entrees. I think we had a little bit of everything for dessert. Service was good, too. I would rate it about a 7 out of 10.

We were there for dinner a couple of weeks ago. It was fine. Nothing special. We had a four cheese flatbread as an appetizer. We thought it was good, but rather small. My son and I had lemon chicken and my husband had rigatoni. Everything was fine.

Would I go again? No.

We felt the same way about LeCellier in Epcot. Everyone raves about it and we were underwhelmed.

Oh well, everyone is different. I think a lot depends on what you are used to. We eat out quite a bit. We live in a large metropolitan area and there are many good restaurant choices.

In all our trips to WDW over the years, I can't say I've ever had a great meal. However, I've never had a really bad meal either. It's Disney, it's fun and we keep going back.

Last time we were there was about 2 years ago. We were with a large party of our family and had a very rude waiter. After being ignored at our table for about 15 minutes, my sister finally spoke up. The waiter said he'd be with us when he could and if we couldn't wait, we were welcome to leave. We couldn't believe it! Food was good from what I can recall.

My husband and I loved the food at spoodles. However, not much of a selection for children. WE won't go back until kids are older.

I think we're in a bit of a minority group here, but we didn't like Spoodles much at all. True, the bread was good, but my dd didn't like it at all and wouldn't eat it (she's not a very picky eater, either). We had some lamb patties (forget what they were called) that were mediocre, my dh had pasta that he said was "okay," and I had lemon chicken that was very, very dry--I even sent it back (which I NEVER do!). Also, my dd had veggies (peas and carrots) that were hard. That said, we could have just experienced an "off" night, but we won't try it again.

Oh, and we did not have reservations, and we waited only about five minutes (there were plenty of tables available...hmmm....).

That is unbelievable to me. I hope you immediately complained to the manager. In any service industry, the customer is always right. That doesn't mean that we have the right to be unreasonably impatient. But the customer should never be chastised for speaking up. I tip very well. But I would have stayed there all night and not tipped him a dime.

My family and I ate there in November on our Disney trip - not sure if we will go back again. While the food was ok, it seemed very pricey for our family. I think there is better value for the money out there. Just our opinion...

We had a great family meal there in December. Food was wonderful and service even better!
We plan on doing it again at least once and most likely twice this coming trip! I hope it was not a fluke! :confused3

We have eaten at Spoodles every single trip since they opened and would not think of missing it. There are trips when we go twice or three times counting breakfast.

We have always had excellent service and have rarely had to wait very long. I love the atmosphere and the decor. It just makes me feel good to be there. :) or is that the Spoodle-ritas? ;)

We ate there just a few weeks ago and had a wonderful meal. The 4 cheese flatbread is one of our favorite foods in all of WDW. They had changed the bread that goes with the dipping oil since our last trip and it was great! It was all we could go to stop eating it. I was a bit disappointed that they changed some of the entrees, but my lemon chicken was good and DD24's steak was excellent. and dessert .. ohhh .. always super at Spoodles!
