Spoodles...yes/no?

Yes, there was a recent change and they got rid of the filet with the sweet potato fries...we are bummed. However, we still love Spoodles and plan to return.

they got rid of that?!?! that was the only thing i would eat off the menu, I am a meat and potatoes girl and don't like weird food. aw man, cross it off my list..

Where is the new menu? The menu posted on allears has NY strip and sweet potato dish, is this not the right menu? Where can I find an official current menu? And Heatherlynn444, what's weird food :confused3 :rotfl2: .

basically i don't like any vegetables or seasonings/anything mixed together. i like everything seperated and plain besides a few certain things. so i like steak. potatoes. chicken. hamburgers. very little sauces/seasonings, mixtures, etc. I know I'm weird...i also don't at salad or seafood of any kind. its a wonder I stay alive

Yep...the menu on Allears isn't the most current.:confused3 And although they did get rid of the grilled steak dish..they do now have beef skewers instead. So they still serve the meat :thumbsup2 Believe me...my DH is a PICKY eater. He's also a meat and potatos kinda person...who does not want anything mixed let alone touching:eek: Anywho...I have my fingers crossed that he'll love Spoodles. I think he'll like the flat breads without veggies.....and either the salmon or beef dish. ;)

The one thing I'm wondering about the new menu at Spoodles that have been posted are...it does not list ANY kids menu. Anyone know if they have a kids menu now? Is it changed or the same?? I just hope they don't convert to the mac-n-cheese, PB&J or Chick strips choices that sooooo many other places have. The expanded kids menu is one of the TOP reasons we picked Spoodles this time.

I think Spoodles does a great job with their presentation and preparation....the food is very good and service is very good. I have never had a bad meal there, although I must say it can be noisey....especially if that chef is there that loves to scream out the orders, he works in front of the kitchen and faces the room as he screams out the orders. If he is not working, it is perfect..

Sorry, but NO. We ate there in 2005, and it was the worst meal of our trip. Service was absolutely HORRIBLE. We were very disappointed, given the rave reviews on this board. We won't be going back.

Yes.

Good food and outstanding service.

mmmm, dips....

What didn't you like about the service and meal and was this the old menu or the new one?

I appreciate all opinions.

Last Sept we dined there. The service alone was THE BEST WE EXPERIENCED ALL WEEK- steps above CG. (that place was very good too)----just my penny's worth opinion.......
The meal was great, and we have 2 adr's for our week there this sept. It was hands down our favorite. :thumbsup2

Our service was s-l-o-w and the server was too busy talking to one of his tables to notice us. It was really aggravating. The food was not at all what we had expected (quality-wise) The reviews were so glowing on here that we were expecting REALLY good food. It just wasn't that great! I had pasta (I think rigatoni?) and it was WAY overcooked. I also think we had the mediterannean dips and they weren't very good. I get better hummus at Wegman's! This was 2005, so old menu. Maybe they are under better management now, and maybe the new menu is better? I don't know...all I know is that we aren't in a hurry to return. There are several other restaurants we'd rather try!

... was this the old menu or the new one?
The new menu was introduced at the very end of February.

Note also that the new chef at Spoodles got there at the end of last Summer.

Big-time yes! It was an unexpected pleasure for our family--one of our 3 favorite TS meals on our last trip.

Our dining review of Spoodles (with pics) is here----> click

unfortunately most of what you ordered is no longer available on the new menu but we are looking forward to our dinner there in 3 weeks & hope that the new items will get glowing reviews from us...I will report back next month.

Will also report on Wolfgang Pucks Grand Cafe, Kona, Le Cellier, & WCC.

The kids menu is also listed on All Ears. They did change that too. Last year our girls ordered a double PB&J and LOVED it! It was not on the menu when we were there in January.

So the menues on AllEars are the "new" menus now. I know the last time I checked they weren't the most current. It still had the grilled steak and sweet potato sticks and a good kids menu.

I'll have to got back to allears and check it out.:thumbsup2 Thanks

Intresting...I just checked out Allears. And sure enough it says it's "Updated 3/07" BUT it still has the Oak fired grilled steak with potato sticks....and I'm sure the other new menu I saw didn't have that. It had a stipe steak instead. I'm hopeing the one that's listed is the one they have...that oak fired grilled steak is what I was wanting :). The kids menu is also diffrent than what they had before. I don't know it there are alot of diffrent things (or lack of stuff)...or if it's just listed and/or grouped diffrently. Either way the kids menu doesn't look all that bad when compaired to some other places in WDW.

Does anyone have a recent review of the meal with the new menu? What would you recommend from the starters and the desserts as well as entree?

scrapperjill:
Check Bicker's link for the "real" new menu. No steak of any sort now--steak kabobs.
