Has anyone done the Pizza window at Spoodles? Is it New York style or Chicago...or frozen??? :confused3

Is it good?

It is NYC style and it is fantastic, everytime we go to Epcot we make the short walk over to BW and have a slice, or two.

I do not know the difference between NY style and Chicago style but I know it is not frozen. While eating dinner there you can watch the man tossing pizza dough in the air. He is impressive to watch. :thumbsup2

We had pizza there Jan. 05 on DDP. I originally was going to order 3 sep. slices and 3 sodas and the CM told me since we were on the plan to order 1 whole pizza, 1 salad, and 1 order breadsticks. (I think this was instead of dessert) and 3 sodas. So we did-and she only charged us 2 CS credits. :thumbsup2 (We didn't know about OOP on extra soda and it didn't come up.) The plan was fairly new then and we (and CMs) weren't as experienced with it was we, and they, are now. I don't know if you can still get whole pizza/breadsticks/salad/sodas still for only 2 CS but we did then and it was a good deal. We (my DM65, DD then 5, and myself45) had more than enough to eat. We didn't finish the pizza, salad, or all the breadsticks. We actually looked around for someone to share it with but there was a lack of people walking by at that time. The weather was very nice. A beautiful Jan. afternoon. Sunny and a little cool in the shade. We sat there and played my DD new Trouble game (with Stitch). It was a lovely mid day meal.

The reason we chose "Spoodles to go" was we were looking for CS outside of a park (it was a non-park day). We thought it was very good! Of course, what do we know about pizza since we're from So. Cal. :rotfl2: I know alot of posters don't like it, but we did. I personally don't like Chicago style pizza-I don't care for the thickness of the crust. I liked the Spoodles pizza-it was more like a hand-tossed crust.

NY style is thin crust a little greasy, but very good. Chicago style is deep dish, thick crust, lots of sauce.

DH & I went here about 5 times on our trip back in 2000 and loved it! So, last year, when we finally made it back, that was our first stop for lunch. It was horrible! The sauce was really spicy and just overall bad pizza.

Gee that is too bad! New York pizza never has spicy sauce. It is more of a light tasting sauce. Can't handle that. I had pizza at Disney Quest, and it wasn't too bad.

The Spoodles take out window is a "must do" for my husband and I on our trips. Either before we go into Epcot for lunch or after for dinner. We love it and the husband could eat pizza seven days a week (I don't let him - Spoodles takeout is a freebie for him, though). They did switch the sauce at one point but they are back to the stuff from before, minnie824. Try it again. Husband said the same thing. He's happy now. This is definitely not frozen stuff.
