We're in the midst of revising our dining plans -- we had reservations for The Plaza at MK but have decided to spend the evening either in Downtown Disney, the Boardwalk or at a resort. We'd like to stay away from a park for dinner. So we're looking for a suggestion for a different place to eat.

Couple of notes:
- dining with a 13 yr old who is willing to try most things and a 7 yr old who is an extremely picky eater
- already eating at 'Ohana, Boma, an Chef Mickeys
- need some choices that aren't too rich, fatty, or spicy - DW just diagnosed with a hiatus hernia and pretty much the only thing she can eat is chicken
- nothing too fancy
- needs to participate in the DDP

Thanks in advance!

Will you have a rental car? I'd personally try a resort meal over Spoodles. Olivia's at Old Key West is really good!

What about the whispering canyon cafe in wilderness lodge, or grand floridian cafe at grand floridian? they have rotisserie chicken. Our nephew (11) got plain pasta which wasn't on the menu, they were very accomadating. Fast eats at Downtown Disney, Earl of Sandwich, I never made it there in November, but my sister did and they loved it. Also, Wolfgang Park express. Enjoy and have a fabulous trip!!!!

I really loved Spoodles when we went last time in 2004. It was one of our hands-down favourites. Your adventurer will have some interesting options, and the conservative child could choose something very simple.

The bread they serve before the meal is unbelievably tasty.

I've seen a lot of reviews about how noisy it is - I didn't find it any noisier than any other Disney restaurant. I found it warm and inviting, very friendly, very family. I really, really enjoyed myself that night. My littlest was exhausted and slept in the booth till we'd reached dessert, and they just nonchalantly accommodated her with an entree while we ate dessert, and then packaged something for her to go for dessert (I don't remember what it was, something very simple - not ice cream, she can't have milk) - in case she needed a "bedtime snack."- we felt completely relaxed, no sense of being rushed, it was just the best.
