Spoodles or Mama Melrose's?

We will be staying at the Beach Club and I am considering getting dinner at one of these places one night. Spoodles would obviously be easier for us to get to from the Beach Club.

I am thinking it would be a light dinner...the salads, appetizers (dips and spreads) and flatbreads look yummy and I know we could make a meal out of that stuff.

Does anyone have any preferences? Any reason we should make the hike over to Mama Melroses instead of Spoodles?

I'd stick with Spoodles; Mama Melrose's isn't really worth the travel time.

Thanks, I found some other threads and going to Spoodles instead of Mama Melrose's seems to be the more popular recommendation.

I have never eaten at Mama Melrose but Spoodles I have been to many times and I love it there, myself I would go with spoodles I don't think you'de be sorry

Yes, try Spoodles! The four cheese flatbread is a must for us every time we go there.

We just did both this past weekend, link to reviews and pics is in my signature. MM was lunch but it was still very good but Spoodles was AWESOME!

Thanks for the feedback. I don't really see how I can fit in Mama Melrose's to my schedule very easily. Sounds like Spoodles gets the vote anyway so we will plan on that.

I have never been to Mama's, but have been to Spoodles many times and have never been disappointed. My kids are 12 and 14 and love the food as well. We personally like the calamari.

Spoodles is phenominal! I'm an Italian girl so my view of Italian food may be a bit jaded, but mama melrose is a bit too fast food italian for my liking. We love spoodles and have never had a bad meal there! The bread is to die for!

We stayed at the BCV last year and Spoodles was AMAZING. Not to be missed, as it's such a great location from your hotel and the food was superb.

Spoodles! We ate at MM and I didn't like it at all! Plus it is a long travel time to get there!
