Spoodles or Cape May Buffet

Can't decide between these two. Never done CMB & did Spoodles 2 years ago and thought it was ok.

Which of these do you like or dislike & why?

My family and I have always enjoyed the CMB. After reading some negative posts this summer we decided to skip it and try Sppodles. There had been some not so good reviews of this lately also, however, it was by far one of the best meals we had during our trip I'd say give it a try.

If you've never been to Cape May but you have been to Spoodles then I say you should definitely try Cape May. Despite it being a buffet, I don't think the cost will be much different than ordering off the menu at Spoodles.

How good is the food at Cape May? I don't care much for mussels and I only like clams fried (strips, no belly's). How crowded does it get there? How loud does it get there?

Cape May sounds better in descriptions than it actually is. The desserts are good but the mussels were rubbery, the shrimp were mealy and the rest was just ok. I really wanted it to be good but with the exception of the desserts it just wasn't ( and we were there shortly after opening when you would have thought it would have been freshest)

My family (all seafood lovers originally from the east coast) was not impressed by CMC this past May. It wasn't that the food was bad (although some of the seafood was sandy), it just wasn't anything at all special. Also, the seafood dishes were pretty bland and boring. Sadly, we haven't been to Spoodles in a while (although we're booked for October!!), so I can't comment on it.

I thought CMB was real bad. I think you can relate why seeing as you are from MA too. The seafood was horrible let alone the rest of the selections. Spoodles was OK, I had the steak, tough tough tough, but everything else was good. I myself on my trip in Oct. are not going back to either one of them.

Thanks for your input. I think I'll skip CMB and do Spoodles instead.
