Spoodles - Anyone been there recently??

The crispy chicken cutlet is Spoodles' take on chicken parmesan. It is a well seasoned pan fried boneless breast, topped with a serano ham slice, asiago cheese and chopped tomatoes with garlic served over arugula with a lemon fennel vinaigrette. I thought it was excellent and I love chicken parm. I like d the chopped tomatoes more than having a heavy tomato sauce like Olive Garden and other chains do.

well, i am kinda nervous :confused3 now about my adr for spoodles...me and my bf are eating here in december and neither of us has ever eaten here? i was not sure about making this reservation to begin with but i love the bw area and thought it would be a nice first night dinner so that we could see the views of the bw as well as the bc. i looked over the menu and it looked ok...nothing stood out really but i thought we would give it a try.
i am now a little nervous cause my bf is kinda picky and when he looked at the menu, he thought "well, i'll just get a steak cause some stuff sounds kinda weird" but now he just had a freak accident in football (which knocked his two front teeth out) and he will have temporary teeth for our trip so steak is kinda out of the question now. i saw that someone said the crispy chicken is a little like chicken parm? he likes chicken parm so if anyone has any more opinions or comments about that dish, please post so i can know if i should change my adr? thanks!

I wouldn't go to a restaurant heavily relying on one dish. The menu is subject to change at any time. If he really doesn't care for anything on the menu, I'd switch to another restaurant. How about the Cape May Cafe Clam Bake Buffet at the BC? It gets excellant reviews. Lots of variety. I've heard the ribs are fall-off-the-bone delicious! :thumbsup2

All I can say was the food was pretty good, but our waitress, Sandy (middle age lady with brown hair and glasses) was lousy and extremely rude.

In fact, even though I did talk to the manager about her service, I wrote WDW after our trip also and complained about this waitress. They credited us $100 on the meal for 4.

Wow - can I ask what she did?

I am interested in Spoodles. I think DH and I would love it - but is it a place to bring my kids (4 & 1.5)? Is it a long drawn out meal?

well, i didn't pick this place because of one dish. i wanted to eat somewhere over in that area (boardwalk/beach club) and had already eaten at cape may so i was gonna try something different. he looked at the menu and whenever he is unsure, he just goes with a steak...but since his "tooth" accident, i am not sure if he will be able to eat something as tough as steak. so thats why i was asking about the other items on the menu including that crispy chicken (since i know he likes chicken parm)...i am also afraid to try and switch adr now since we are going dec. 13th. but thanks for the advice bout cape may...i do enjoy that place.

We eat breakfast there every trip and love it. Have ADRs for next week for dinner - will be our first time for dinner.

Most definitely! Spoodles is a very family-friendly place. We eat as Spoodles every time we visit WDW. Our kids are now 9, 7, and 2, but they've been eating at Spoodles since the oldest was 3. We all enjoy it very much. Also, we've always had fabulous servers.

we have not been to spoodles for a while for anything but breakfast which is always great. after reading this we are going to check dinner the chicken parma looks great in that pic.

My wife and I ate there last Sept. It was really good. I had the wood grilled pork tenderloin and she had the chicken cutlet. I also had a sangria which was awesome and she had the calimari, which she said wasn't as good as narcosses which we had the night before (I don't touch the stuff).

The cons we found was that it is a very loud resteraunt. It has a wide open floor plan with wood floors and you could hear everything going on around you. When we were there the place was about half full with no large groups If you don't mind a loud place, I would recommend it.

WE LOVE SPOODLES. DH and DS are into basic food, and they loved it. The sangria alone was worth the trip for me. Look at the menu on line, and then make your decision. It wasn't overly noisy when we visited, and all the food was great.

Can you guys recommend anything for breakfast? What are your favorites?

We ate there in June and it was knock your socks off fantastic (dinner). The pizza from the takeout window is very very bad though
Never had a bad experience there. Love the pizza from the take out window. The food is great it is not fast food.

We had a "date" night at spoodles this past Wed (Oct 29th) and it wasn't our favorite. The food was okay but it was very loud and open and our food believe it or not came out of the kitchen way to fast (I work in a restaurant so I tend to be a little more picky about these things). The mussels came out and we hadn't even finished half of them and dinner hit the table. I had the Pork and dh had the fish. They were both just okay...nothing fantastic. We split a Sangria which was okay also. Our bill was on the table before dh finished his cheesecake althought the waiter told us to take our time and enjoy the rest of the dessert and wine. The total time for our "romantic dinner" was maybe 40 minutes if that....I should have kept our adr for Kona...silly me.:sad2: Never had been to the Boardwalk and wanted to check it out.

Here are a few pictures of the meals.

Not a restaurant I would do ever again. Our BEST meal of the whole trip was Ragland Road...Great food and Service!! (In case you wanted to know ;) )
