Can you explain what you mean by this? If I right-click on any picture, my own or anyone else's, it takes me to my own picture sites, meaning I can only see my sites and not anyone else's. Are you saying that anyone can click on any pictures on here and it'll take them to that poster's picture sites?

Right-clicking on your photo will give the you the properties which you can then follow to the website. Of course then you can't go any further since you're not logged in.

I am lucky. I just checked it and it shows eleven people with my name, the nearest is about 200 miles away and it also does not show me from any previous addresses.

If you hyperlink a photo or right click and follow the URL for your photobucket site if your privacy settings are not set so you have to log in, anyone can see your album. You have your privacy settings set so you would need your log in, but MANY people here do not and with some sites all you have to do is click on the photo and it takes you to ALL of their photos-as well as often their name and other info.

They found me twice on there. One I was a single man making 273k a year. The second time they found me I was making 200k a year in a relationship with a child. MMMM no guess again.

Golfgal's reply had me ready to delete every photo album on my computer! I had my husband sit down at my computer and click on pictures, mine and other poster's photos, to show me what that lead to. He has worked with computers for over thirty years and owns a computer software company. I, on the other hand, am not computer saavy at all!

He showed me how site addresses come up and how it can lead you to photobucket for instance, but from there you would need the other person's password to enter the site.

I understand it now. You really had me worried, though! When I click on my pictures here or anyone else's, it not only takes me to all my photos but also to almost everything else on my computer. My husband explained that all that info is local and only pertains to this computer. He also just kinda shakes his head and sighs at my lack of computer knowledge.

Actually a lot of people don't have their photobucket accounts password protected so you can see their photos.

All of the information on sites like spokeo comes from the web and is public information. Plus a lot of it is inaccurate. Supposedly DH and I bought our house together before we even met. Yes it shows an aerial picture of my house but it's the same picture that anyone can see on google maps or Bing. I'm listed in the phonebook so anyone can find out my address. I really don't see what's so alarming about the site.
