I have a relative who is a manager at a DS. I don't know if she will be losing all of her WDW perks but i know she is losing most of them. She has been there for quite a few years now and believe me ... she uses those perks!!! Especially on the Disney Cruises. She has switched over to the Disney outlet in her area. She will still get her perks there but she will no longer be a manager. She's lucky that she had one of those outlets to go to to work and still hold on to the perks for at least a little while.

Thank you!! I couldn't have said it better. It seems like everybody is complaining about what they are losing. I have been a Disney CM for almost 12 years and yes, we are losing some priviledges and no, I am not thrilled with the changes. But to be honest, would you rather have the stores close forever?? I honestly can not complain. Being a Disney CM, I was able to go to WDW several times in the last few years and I still have a job; yeah my paychecks will now have TCP on them bigg deal. I am just thankful that the stores were saved and not turned into a baby Gap.

I just wonder how many people will even know that anything has changed? We're all diehard Disney fans but most people aren't and probably will never even notice (or care) who runs the stores.

I was just wondering if the Disney Store will still carry the pre-order videos/dvd's with the lithographs? I've been collecting these for a while now and that's one thing I would miss.

I asked yesterday about the Bambi pre-order and they said they weren't sure if they would be participating.

I doubt they will do any more presales, it would be competition with DisneyDirect. IF they do, they would offer different gifts, not the lithos, in my opinion.
