Spoiled Kids

It's totally the parents. It's a little hard for a 5 year old to spoil itself, don't you think? lol

It's the parents' fault. They need to know when to kick up the discipline. With no discipline, comes loopholes to rules. With loopholes, the children are bound to use them. With the children breaking rules, the parents are at a fault because they didn't enforce them in the first place.

i was not a spoiled child. first off i knew my parents didnt have a lot of money. my parents would take me to the toy store, not get anything, and come out happy. i have a "friend" who is a spoiled brat. we went to the mall and she got 200$ worth of thing and i only spent 20$. i also have a spoiled brat of a cousin. it is deffinatly the parents faults.

I'm not sure.
My dad and mom think me and my older brother are spoiled.
She tells me that I deserve the stuff I get though.
And I haven't EVER threw a tantrum in public to get something.
So in someways I'm not really :]
I just have a weakness for shoes and clothes. :rotfl:
I myself think it's the child's fault because they make their parent's feel bad with the screaming and stuff.

I can say I'm spoiled in the sense I have a lot of things that my parents normally wouldn't let me have.
It depends on how you look at it. Compared to a lot of kids I'm spoiled.
But compared to the kids I know, I'm only a little spoiled.

Well, it's the parents.
I'm spoiled, and I can be a spoiled brat sometimes, but I'm nothing like those kids on my super sweet 16.

But you know, I've known kids who are intentionally deprived even though their parents have plenty of money, and the parents do that because they don't want their kids to be spoiled. But they turn out way worse than kids who are spoiled. They're jealous, bitter, and they don't appreciate anything even when they do get things. Me and one of my old friends are the complete opposites, she got pretty much nothing and I got everything I wanted. I took great care of my things, her stuff would be ruined within a week. I was never jealous of people's things, she was almost so jealous that she couldn't be my friend. I could have fun and window shop, but she couldn't because all she could say was 'ohh why would anybody spend their money on THAT?'. And in case you were wondering, her parents had a LOT more money than mine ever did.

Parents. Definately. (sp?)
I mean they have the power not their kids. And if the kids have the power then there ya go. If they say yes to every single thing their kids want then the kid grows up that way.

It's deffinatley the parents fault, they give in.

My parents ALWAYS give in when i beg & pouty face if the situation gets to that point xD therefore i repeat the behavior because i know ill get what i want.

If my parents didnt give in when i was little i probably wouldnt do it.

I love how im the example? Wow.. i reallyshould act that way but whatevr xd

I'm...erm...spoiled...

But it's not anyone's fault really.

Actually, it's the fault of bad DNA.

See, IF:

If I didn't have this disorder
I wouldn't be nearly as spoiled
Because I'd have siblings
Because my parents didn't WANT any more kids after me, BECAUSE of this stupid disorder
So, being the only child, I get spoiled

That doesnt make sense & i disagree that it is "nobodys fault"

This topic comes up a lot in my house.
My parents consider me and my sister spoiled.
My sister gets whatever she wants. My sister loves webkinz. She has about 70 webkinz.
Yesterday she wanted a webkinz and my mom let her get it because my mom lets my sister get whatever she wants. My dad doesn't usually let us get everything we want but we usually get at least one thing each when we go out.
I try not to be spoiled, but my parents get us whatever we want.

The webkinz thing OMG. My sister and I play webkinz, we have about 10. I think if you have more than 15 it's pretty ridiculous. I've heard of people who have 300! It's super crazy. 70 webkinz is too much. It's ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the parents fault, though.

A pouty face is tame.
The kids I see sometimes at work are basically laying on the ground crying.
It's like extreme tantrum.
But I work in a place that has an aisle and a half of candy, and an aisle of snacks.
It's bound to happen. Most parents are good at keeping their ground. If the kid doesn't get any better, they put what they were buying them back and they get the other adult to take them back to the car while they finish shopping.

Wow o.o

I remember crying in stores when I was really little (it stopped by the time I was in kindergarten), but never laying on the ground freaking out and having a tantrum (at least not in public anyway xD). And whenever I cried it was never about treats... Kids seriously will through crazy fits over treats? I thought things like that were reserved for that $50 holiday barbie and $100 barbie dream houses. xD

My sister is so spoiled.
Basically every halloween she gets a 70.00 princess dress for halloween.

Yes, they do. They probably aren't as scary as the ones in the toy stores.
When I had my tantrums, it was along the lines of screaming and crying as loud as I could and hitting my mother (obviously it didn't hurt, I was like 3).
Anyways, those fits just got me in trouble.

That's ridiculous o.O
My costumes were always home made.

I think the parents.

their push-overs, and they shouldn't give their kids whatever they want.
