Just a suggestion, but you might want to have them watch the movie. It seems many younger kids today might say, "Indiana Who?!" because it's not a recent movie that they're familiar with. That helped my oldest, Ryan, (who rode it for the first time at age 7 because he was finally tall enough) get to know the story, characters, and recognize some of the scenes in the ride. Also look to see if you can find any video of the ride on youtube.com, and have your kids watch them.

Anyway, watching the movie helped, and he ended up riding it twice (Once with hubby and once with me. (One of us had to wait with our younger little boy, who was 3 at the time, so hubby and I had to take turns). Admittedly, it wasn't Ryan's favorite ride, but he was fine with it. This year, at age 8, I think he'll like it much more.:thumbsup2

I missed out on way too much when I was a kid. I never really went on "big" rides, cause my parents never did. So, as I grew older, I was afraid of them. Luckily I've gotten over that fear and now enjoy some amazing theme park experiences. We are trying not to make the same mistake with our kids. Everything they are tall enough for, they go on at least once per trip. 99% success rate with this.

I have a pretty healthy fear of heights. I can't climb ladders or work on my roof. Christmas lights on our house is a no go each year, my legs just stop working. But I never let this rob me of roller coaster fun! Just recently I went on one of those free fall tower rides (Dr. Dooms at Universal Orlando). It took some coaxing from my friend, but I wasn't going to chicken out. I rode it twice and it was great, less scary than I thought and it gave amazing views of the whole resort. Awesome.

Now seriously, now that you know those air spurts are coming and you know what they are, is it REALLY going to scare you THAT much? It's a cartoon snake on a moive screen, likely 100 ft away. I know you can do it. Watch it 3 or 4 times in a row and get over this fear. You CAN do it!!!!!
