Splurging for a romantic honeymoon meal...

We want to go somewhere neither of us have gone before, and something very exclusive to Disney...so something we can't get in rural New York/Québec, Canada.

Places one or both of us has been:
-50s Prime Time Café
-Sci-Fi Dine-In
-Le Cellier
-San Angel Inn
-Biergarten

Yes, we're somewhat uncultured, Disney-wise. We want something around the $10-$30 a person range. "Deliciousness" of food is not nearly as important to us as atmosphere and trying something new. Plus, it's our big table service honeymoon meal, so it should be the littlest bit romantic :-D.

The $30 dollar limit is going to make it hard to find a really romantic place, I don't think you will be able to do any signature restaurants. I would have said The Blue Zoo , but for under $30 per person i say Sanaa for the atmosphere.

I wouldn't get him all stressed about the prices, that will take a little of the romance away. We like Yak and Yeti , Sanaa , and Raglan Road and you can do them for under $30 per person

As a PP said, it can be hard to find quiet and romantic for $30 a person. Sanaa is probably the closest you can find. Some of the signatures will give you much more quiet and romantic (Citricos, Jiko, Artist Point are all relatively quiet and romantic) but you will pay close to twice that $30 per person. Shula's and bluezoo are probably slightly quieter than the signatures but you can expect to pay slightly more at these 2 places than you would at the signatures.

Italy is always romantic. How about Via Napoli? Splitting and pizza and dessert? Or how about WolfGang Puck Express at DTD? t is supposed to be a nice atmosphere, and is table service for CS prices, Then walk over to Goofy's and make your own dessert? Take the boat ride from POR... That sounds lovely. Otherwise, Kona?

The best part will just be having fun together. Trying to force the romance can sometimes dampen the fun.

Agreed.

There are other ways to bring in a bit of romance that don't revolve around dinner. Maybe it's as simple as taking a night time walk around DTD and splitting a sunday at Ghirardelli's (awesome ice cream) or doing Characters in Flight. Or playing a round of mini-golf at Fantasia Gardens then walking around the Boardwalk watching whatever entertainers are around and splitting a funnel cake. There are tons of other options out there.

When DW and I were dating and traveled to WDW our romantic experiences were found around every corner. Or seeing who was gonna get a higher score on Buzz Lightyear LOL i won

It's the magical moments and being together thats romantic, just find a nice restaurant like Tony's or Tutto Italia

Yes, there are lots of romantic non-food things to do at Disney. But a splurge on one dinner is a nice idea too.

The Signatures are a step above in food and atmosphere but also in price. That might make the splurge uncomfortable.

Among the regular TS places I'd say your best bets would be Restaurant Marrakesh in Epcot or Yak&Yeti in AK. At Marrakesh get one or even two appetizers, split an entree, and get the "Bastilla for two" dessert; that will hold the cost down. At Yak&Yeti, avoid the dishes that you can get at a Chinese place at home like lo mein or bourbon chicken; try the ones that look a bit more exotic like the duck or the tamarind chicken. And you simply MUST both have the fried wontons for dessert. And they are too good to share - each get your own!

A smidge pricier but still less than a Signature would be dinner at Ohana at the Poly. Make your ADR for at least an hour before that night's MK fireworks. When you check in, ask for a table where you will be able to see the fireworks and offer to wait until one becomes available. Let them know that this is your honeymoon dinner and the CMs will probably go out of their way to make your meal experience magical.

I know you're from Quebec, but what about Chefs de France? That can be romantic later in the evening, and it's not a lot over your original budget...

OMG thank you so much! I agree with JJsmama, in that romance can be found anywhere. We totally agree! 50s Prime Time, though it's a favorite, is not very romantic to me haha. But we're still going to stop off there once in the trip. I think going somewhere with great decorations and a nice atmosphere (which can be found almost anywhere in the World) and also somewhere we've never been before and can share together will make the experience romantic in itself.

Sanaa is sounding pretty great. We go to Morocco for the quick service meals always, so maybe not Marrakesh, but it's still on the list!

One idea is to get something from the bakery in France and sit and people watch. Have a great time!!!
