Splitting Stay

Does anyone know if you can split your stay at 2 different resorts if you book through a package versus room only?

You can not have a split stay on a package (at least you couldn't two years ago when I split my stay between the Poly--during the 7 for 4 promotion--and the Beach Club--I had double tickets one day.

I tried to do the same thing, split my stay between the YC and the Poly. They told me I had to book the first four days at the YC as a package with a 7 day ticket and then book a 4 night room-only stay at the Poly. We didn't need 9 days of tickets as we are arriving late on our first day and then leaving early on our last.
