Hi!

Our next trip is planned for December 6-13,2003.

For now our ressie is for the beautiful WL.

I've been reading the boards quite a bit on the Poly and we would like to stay here as well. We have recently enjoyed the Luau and have ate at O'Hana's in the past. We would like to enjoy the other amenities that the Poly has to offer.

I'm thinking about splitting our stay between the Poly and the WL. If I leave our dates as is we would arrive at the Poly on Sat Dec 6 and Switch to the WL on Monday Dec 8 for the rest of our trip.

However I'm thinking that we need to add more days to our trip so that we can enjoy the Poly properly. Even if we take the first flight out of Omaha on Saturday the 6th, we would not arrive at the resort until mid afternoon. (by the time we collect luggage and pick up the rental car).

We have our annual pass so my view is that we should just stay more days.

My new plan is to Fly down on Thursday December 4 at check into the Poly. Then move to WL on Monday December 8.

Rally me on please!:D

That sounds like a fabulous plan Princess!!! One trip, two great resorts, does life get any better? I do have one suggestion though. You might want to think about staying at the WL first and then the Poly last. I've never been to either resort, but from what I've heard on these boards the Poly is the more posh of the two. I'm just worried that you might experience a let down when you move to the smaller rooms of the WL. Otherwise I say proceed as planned, and I think extending your stay is a great move as well! Good luck and happy planning!

Hi!

Ditto what msteddom said! The fun to splitting resorts is to leave the best for last.

Thank you both for your replies.

I have thought of staying at the WL and then moving to the Poly.

The "glitch" is that we have stayed at the beautiful and magestic WL several times. DH and I think that the lodge is our second home If we stayed here first I would have a hard time moving to the poly. :D

I expect that after our trip the Poly will become a favorite of ours as well.

Again thank you both for your replies. I am so excited to have the opportunity to stay at both of the resorts.

I say that if you have the opportunity to extend your trip then go for it! As I mentioned on another thread I personally would not want to switch resorts without spending at least 5 days at either one but it sounds like you have a great plan! :)

You should stay at least two more days, maybe three to really enjoy the Poly. It's worth it.

On our next trip in Nov/Dec we are splitting our stay for the first time. We started out with renting points for Nov 30- Dec 5th at OKW. We had always stayed at the Institute before and this seemed the most comparable. Anyhow I knew my DS (12) would love AKL and the Sunrise Safari, so we booked the first 2 nights there (Nov. 28th and 29th).
We concerned about switching after only 2 days but.... then decided that we could actually leave a couple days earlier and tacked on the WL (Dh's choice) to the begining.
I have know idea how this will go, but we are pretty flexible and laid back, so I think we will be able to relax and enjoy all of the resorts and be able to get more of a feel as to where we would like to stay next summer.

But as you can see I am all for adding on more days!
Good luck and have fun.

Pam
