Splitting stay between the RP & HR?

Has anyone split their stay in Orlando by staying at one resort for a day or two and another resort for the remainder of their stay? We couldn't decide between the two since we love the HR and wanted to try the RP since we haven't stayed there yet? So are we crazy for doing this? Friday we are staying at the RP and doing Sea World, then the HR for Sat-Mon. Doing Discovery Cove Sat and Uni Sun.

Not crazy at all
Last year we stayed at The Doubletree on Major Blvd for 2 days and then stayed at RPR for our last 3 days and atleast your time is being split between the onsite hotels
