We are a party of 7 ladies going on our first group trip to WDW this October. I have organized all of our FPs and ADRs. Will we be able to split the table service checks for our meals? I haven't seen this addressed in the restaurant threads. Our ts restaurants dinners include Fantasmic dinner package at Brown Derby, Flying Fish, Skipper Canteen at MK, and Spice Road Table. Thanks for any insight!

Yes, you will be able to split checks and pay as you want. However, please make sure everyone is aware that an automatic gratuity will be added to each check since you are a group of 6 or more.

Make sure to tell the server you want separate checks at the beginning, and then remind them again later... make sure that the bill that is given is yours, as well as when they return the bill for signature... double check to see if the tip was added or not... We had a issue when dinning with some friends (9), and it was a mixed group, some couples and singles... and the checks got really mixed up, with adult beverages, appetizers, entrees, and desserts it was a mess... took almost 40 minutes for everything to get worked out...It was a lesson learned ... now we automatically double check everything...

I think they will split (although 7 individual checks seems like a lot). Definitely mention it up front. The one caveat I can think of is if wanting to use any discounts - Annual Pass, Tables in Wonderland, Disney Visa. If splitting, only the cardholder(s) would get that discount. When I did a girls trip, we wanted to use some discounts and also wanted to get out of the restaurants with minimal hassle for us and the server so one person paid each night and others either reimbursed via one of the cash apps or picked up the next one etc. Just another idea - it may or may not work for your group. Have fun! Girls trips are a great time!!

Thank you for all of your responses. I've already raised the opinion that it would be easier if I got the bill and paid with everyone paying me but most of us have already stocked up on disney gift cards and want to pay that way. Since there are 7 of us and only 4 table service ADRs, each taking a turn wont work out evenly. I have also mentioned that I have an AP thus allowing a 10% discount and most didn't care about that because of the rewards and discounts using their personal ccs.....so it looks like individual bill's it is. We will definitely pay close attention to our individual receipts and of course will mention individual checks at the start and I'm aware since we are a party of 7 that gratuity is automatically included (but well be checking for that as well).....

Thank you again! Really looking forward to us 56 year olds behaving like teenagers and enjoying disney together!

We have been larger groups but usually split the checks between 3 or 4 the most. We will say check 1, check 2, etc.

We have had only two parties and one had the TIW card. Some will let us split the bill (each one charging their own card) and some say no.

Curious how it all turns out. Hopefully it won't be an issue. You can always have one person pay and split the bill. One person pays for each meal like you mentioned. Best of all, have fun!! Should be an amazing time!

Since one of othe meals is the Fantasmic package, for which you will know the cost and auto grat, why doesn't everyone get a gift card for that exact amount to use for that meal? You can always go to the gift card app to combine them onto one card, or have the 7 cards ready to hand over to the server. Not sure if they apply AP discounts to the F! package - I would get that answered first. Then you will only have 3 meals to worry about.

Yes, no problem splitting checks.

Well, another thing about the AP discount is that it only covers 4 people, so 3 would be left out of the discount.

I'm in your age group... and its so much fun.... I will say...you must try the "Grand Marnier Orange Slush" Over in Epcot at the France pavilion, the drink kiosk it right across from the "Chefs de France" restaurant.

I am a member of two clubs one is a walking club and the other an Audi owners club. For the first one after we do a group walk we go out to lunch. The other we just have a lunch "meeting". In both cases there are usually about 16 of us. Almost all singles. There hasn't been any push back from the resaraunts about seperate checks.

As others have suggested, definitely let the server know at the beginning. Sometimes the server will ring in all orders separetely fromt he beginning of the meal. Other times they will ring them all together and then seperate it at the end. Depends on how their system is setup. Also I recommend paying by CC/gift card. Makes it easier on the server and speeds up the checkout process. If you do pay with cash and do not need any change back let the server know.

As someone else said, double check the bills when they are dropped off, mistakes can happen.

I put myself through college working in nice restaurants so have been on both sides.
