Split Trip WDW and Universal...

So, I'm asking the same question in both the Disney section and here...

We're planning our trip for Dec 16 - Dec 23 2015. Due to crowd levels, we plan to stay on site at Universal (Royal Pacific) for our Universal days. Originally, I was planning to book Universal for Dec 16, 17 - going to the parks the 17th and 18th, and then go to Disney for the 19-22nd (staying nites of Dec 18 - Dec 22). But, since we'll be on-site at Universal with early entry and express passes, is it better to do Universal second (21st and 22nd of Dec)?

At WDW, we'll be in a 1 bedroom at BLT, so I'm not really worried about the quality of hotel change or anything, I was just trying to get the cheaper hotel rates at Universal before they double. But, if it means super long Disney lines, not I'm not sure it's worth the savings.

Any thoughts are welcome.

check the website for the two different time dates for hotel rates and maybe that will help you decide when to book onsite.
if you can't find rates for 2015, check the date and rate thread of 2014 to see what others paid.

if the prices are the same, i would end the trip with universal.
the ease of using unlimited express lines can spoil you with shorter waits than you will experience at disney.

with universal at the end of your vacation, you won't feel rushed and will have limited waits in the express lines.
you won't be coming back home needing a vacation to recover for the vacation.

If possible do US/IA last. We did it first and then went to WDW. The kids were spoiled with the unlimited express pass and really didn't like waiting in line at WDW (even though we were there during a slower time of year). They also thought the rides at WDW were "lame" (I have thrill ride junkies).

Thanks. I think we'll do Universal last... the Disney crowds will get crazy the last few days, and the Express Pass will be nice at that point at Universal.
