Split Stays and DME???

How does Magical Express work if you are doing a split stay? Are they set up to deliver you to one resort and pick you up from another?

We've done it a few times. We just have the travel agent tell them which hotel we're going to and which one we're leaving from. We've never had a problem!

I second that - we stayed at ASMu for one night then moved to the WL. I didn't use the luggage service for our trip there, just picked up my own luggage. We arrived late and I wanted to keep my stuff with me, especially since we were leaving ASMu the next day. No problems at all!

When you arrive at the airport and check in at the ME desk just make sure they have the correct date and resort that you will be returning from. They will set up your return information and on the day before you leave for home you will get an envelope on your room door confirming your return and what time they will pick you up. That's a nice thing because it confirms that they know where you are staying.

No problem whatsoever!

There is one totally harmless (but confusing!) glitch in the system. You have a different reservation number for each resort. DME is tied into the resort reservation system. ANytime you make a DME reservation, it is tied into the resort reservation. Since you have 2 resort reservations, you will then have 2 DME reservations. And each DME reservation automatically generates a full DME packet to be mailed to you, including the DME luggage tags.

Since DME luggage tags are used ONLY to route your luggage from the airport to your resort on your arrival day, they are usless for the way home. Nevertheless, the computer will prepare luggage tags for you for the 2nd resort, anyway. Just throw those out so you don't confuse them with your "real" tags, the tags with your first resort's name on them.
