Split Stays and ADRs/FPs

For FPs, it has no effect. You can book 60 days from first check in. For ADRs it doesn’t allow for second part but I’ve read if you call MS they can help.

MS can only help with ADRs if it’s a DVC to DVC split stay. Anything else it be two different windows then.

And by member services helping you out that means you sit on the phone with them and tell them each reservation you want for the second half of your split stay and they search for it and book it for you. At least that’s how they said they had to do it when I booked for Feb. So it can be a bit time consuming, but they’re great. The only downside is you have to wait until MS opens instead of making the second half of your reservations right at 6am.

For the ADRs, unless you are booking Xmas or Easter you can also just find a cheap room at the All Stars or wherever and book it for the whole length of your trip, paying the $200 deposit. Cancel with no penalty in a few days as soon as your "second" window is open.

We always do split stay and I have done this multiple times. I never feel bad about it because six months out I'm not hurting anyone by holding that room for a week or so, and it's a workaround for something that you ought to be able to do anyway.
