Split stays and a question

I am going with my youngest next year at our March Break. She is now officially a Disney adult. We will be at AKL in a DVC studio but have to do a split stay as our first night isn't available for a value room. Can you do a one day DDP and if so, when would the credits expire? We arrive quite late that first night so couldn't really use any. Could we use them the second day? Also, would the mugs be able to be used the entire stay or just that first day?

The credits would be good until midnight of your check-out day, so you could use them on that second day.

I don't know about the mugs, but I don't think so.

All mugs are programmed for 14 days.
