Alright... more about split stays AND packages.
I guess they get tricky because you technically need to buy the package INCLUDING park tickets for each stay.
I have heard there is a way to avoid this by calling GUEST RELATIONS, and that they can override the extra charge of tickets associated with split stays and two packages.
Can anyone back this up as fact?? I've read posts about travel agents being able to work this out too.
UPDATE... I asked Disney, and here's what I just got:
We appreciate your concern, however it is not possible to "override" the system to allow you to purchase a 7-day ticket for two separate resorts while on a Magic Your Way Package.
Each Magic Your Way Package must have a ticket attached to it, even if it is only a 1-day ticket. You could do a 6-day and 1-day ticket, however, it would still cost less if it were possible to do a 7-day ticket. We are sorry that this is not the answer that you were hoping for.
Please be sure that you really want to change resorts during your stay.
Although we will move your luggage from one to the other, we will not move you...so you will have to take time checking into the second resort.
A suggestion might be to stay at one resort, visit the second one and perhaps dine there while on the Plan ...and then on your next future trip, stay in that second resort. Of course, the ultimate decision will be up to you.
