Split Stay?

Oh nice! My wife and I are from Westchester (Valhalla & Irvington) so if your toddler is used to Brooklyn and the city with everything going on, you guys should be fine with being away from a room for 6 or 7 hours, especially with the stroller.
We have so much family from Westchester (Yorktown Heights and a little further up in Mahopac). Such a gorgeous area. Thank you again!

For Dining: If you do the split stay, you can call Disney reservations and they may book your second reservation ADR'S for you. Apparently, this is something that they often do.

Oh that’s good to know!!

I wonder why they don’t just let you do it for your whole stay.

Definitely worth calling. I think they should let you book your whole stay, especially since they’re allowing split stays to book their whole stay for all’s.

That's great to know, and makes me feel a little better about getting some more popular ADRs towards the end of our trip. Thank you!

Don't count on it. I had a split stay in September and called the dining line to see if they would do this and I was told they cannot. YMMV.

Hey everyone. My husband and I have been to Disney many times, but haven't been back since 2019. We'll finally be back for 9 days in January and this time we're bringing our 3-year-old daughter for her first trip. We were originally deciding between WL and AKL, and ultimately settled on Wilderness Lodge for the theming and proximity to the Magic Kingdom.

With our daughter in tow, convenience is key. We never minded the buses and used them all the time, but now with a stroller and a tired preschooler we're trying to figure out our best option.

I was just pricing out different ideas, and realized we could do a split stay for the same price as staying at the Wilderness Lodge all week. I was thinking Saturday to Wednesday at the Beach Club to do 2 days at Epcot and one at Hollywood Studios, and then move over to the Wilderness Lodge from Wednesday to Sunday to solely focus on the Magic Kingdom.

I'm loving this idea, and the convenience of not having to deal with buses. How easy is it to do a split stay though? We've never done it before and are wondering what the process is like. Disney will transfer our bags right? With a preschooler, do you think it would be too hectic versus settling into one place?

Any advice or opinions are very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

With 4 nights at each resort and easier access to 3 parks, I think this split stay would work in your favor. It’s likely to benefit/improve the trip more than the cost/hassle of moving on Wed.
