Split stay

Hi,
We had to split our stay at a Disney resort. We check in to the one kind of suite in AoA for 4 days and 5 in another kind - again at AoA. The first part of the booking is a package with 3 day base ticket and dining plan. The second part is a room only reservation. We were planning to do 1 Disney park during the first half of our stay and 2 during the second half since tickets are valid for 14 days from first use. When I called to inquire about fast passes, the CM told me that I can only make FPP for the first half of our trip 60 days out and since the system does not recognize me having tickets beyond the first part - I will not be able to make any FPPs - even at the 30 day mark. The CM told me she would "find out" and put me on hold and then returned to tell me the same thing. I am so disappointed. Does anyone have any experience with this and can please share? This messes up our plans/ ADRs etc.

You will be able to make fastpasses for the 2nd half because you have an onsite room reservation. As long as you have a valid ticket and a room reservation, you will be able to make FP+ choices for the number of days of your ticket. What might happen is that you might have to wait until the 60 day mark on your 2nd reservation to make FP+ for the 2nd half. But, it might also let you make them during the window for the first half. Disney IT is "brilliant" that way. I have a triple split stay in 2 months (4 nights for 4 on free dining at POP, 2 nights for 8 at OKW via DVC, 1 night BLT via DVC) and I was able to make FP+ for all 8 days on the 60 day mark for my POP res).

I hope that that's the case for us. I think what the CM implied was that since I had a package, this would be an issue. On further questioning what I understand is that if I just had room only reservations and separate tickets, what would work better. I just don't think I have enough time now to accomplish that. Since we have dining, I don't know if I could just cancel tickets from the package!
I so appreciate you taking the time to answer my question

This is me! We have 3 nights Contemporary (room only), 4 nights Beach Club (room only), and 7 nights with Free Dining/8 days tickets at PORS. I emailed Disney today and was told 'yes, you can access tickets 7 days early for your stay' - great! But I was also told that I can't book FP+ early (even though I'm at a Disney resort). The CM who replied said I could book FP+ 60 days out for my PORS stay, but not for before that (but I can book FP that day at a park kiosk). I've sent the same question in, seeing if I get a different response from a different CM.
