Split Stay?

Please help me understand how a split stay works... I currently have a 4 night MYW package at Pop. I am thinking of adding on a few days at POFQ. If I have, say, a 7 day park hopper with my package can I book room only at POFQ and use the "key" from my package as park tickets? (after I have checked out of Pop) Or do I have to get another ticket? Or should I cancel the package and book room only at both resorts and buy tickets separately? So confused! TIA!

The CM at your new resort will cancel the park tickets from your old room key. The remaining days will be put onto your new room key. Relax, they do this all the time. It is not a problem.
