We are planning a split Pop / AOA stay (my parents really want to stay at pop and will be there only the first 3 nights of the stay, but I want to experience AOA with my toddlers (2 and 5) who love the little mermaid!)
For those of you who have done split stays with toddlers, do you think we should do a 2/4 split so that we have my parent’s room available for midday break / nap if AOA is not available early, or a 3/3 split and take a leisurely morning with mid-afternoon nap on split day (however that would mean counting on the room to be ready at 3PM)
We are planning on being in the parks until 8-9 PM on the second day and my parents will get an early flight day 3 so we won’t be together anyways For the 2nd evening / 3rd morning
Also, would you transfer luggage yourself (via the bridge) or let them do it?
We will have strollers so we can bring two bags to the parks
Thanks for your input!

You mean bring luggage to the parks?? And have security have to go through them??? I would forget that thought. Make sure you have a change of clothes , swim stuff and extra diapers and let bell services take care of the rest.

When are your parents leaving time wise? Can you say goodbye, and just get a late start for a park? Go to park for 3 -4 hours and by then your room should be ready.

It would be most convenient for you to check out of your room at Pop when you still have your parent's room available for your use. You can drop your luggage off in their room after check out. The room will also be available for you to use for naps or if you want to change into bathing suits. Once your room at AoA is ready you can transfer your belongings. We have had trips with our adult children and they have used our room for the same purpose. It works out very well, especially if you have one of their MB's so that you can let yourself into their room. :)

I would transfer the luggage myself. It could take forever to get your stuff transferred via Bell Services. We always transfer our luggage ourselves when we do a split stay. I hate having to wait around for Bell services to deliver luggage.

No obviously it would be just a backpack with swimsuits and a change of clothes

My parents are taking a 7:00am flight so leaving the resort about 3AM so no morning goodbyes!

Thanks that’s very helpful!
Would you suggest we leave all our luggage in their room and then transfer to the other resort when room is ready?

We do split stays all the time & never worry about our luggage. Either take them to bell services yourself ( which we’ve never done) or let them get them from your room. They transfer them for you seamlessly & will deliver to your new room , even though it will be after 4:00. And you do need to be in your room when they’re delivered. But with 2 young kids, I would let them do it all for me!

Typically, yes, having Luggage Assistance transfer everything to The next resort makes sense. But the OP is moving just a few hundred yards, with a dedicated, intentional walkway.
