Split stay with renting DVC points

We are renting DVC points for a week long stay at AKL in June. Now I am thinking about adding on to our trip with a few additional nights at a monorail resort (also would like to rent points).

I’m reading conflicting things online about how fast passes would work on a split stay and I’m particularly interested in how it all works when renting points? I would buy the park tickets for the total number of days we would be staying, not for each separate reservation. Would I be allowed to book fast passes for the whole trip 60 days before the first day of our first reservation?

I would definitely appreciate any advice with this before making any additional plans. Thank you!

I would say yes as it works the same way it would for the DVC member. When I have had split reservations I could book the entire thing on day 1

As long as you have the reservations linked to MDE and have tickets for all the dates, you can book FPs from the 60 day window from the start,

Where split stays cause issues is with dining reservations and without a call to MS...which a renter can not do...they have to wait 180 days from each one to book those.

But FPs...you won’t have an issue!

If you are using the dining plan they are separate so anything off your first reservation must be used by the end of the day of checkout of your first stay or it expires.

Make sure actually go to the front desk the morning you are switching and ask them to check you out.

When I forget, I never get room ready text and when I get to resort 2, they mention it to me.

I also put in I will be arriving at resort 2 early when completing online check in so I hopefully get in my next room a little earlier, even though I never get there until 3 ish
