Split stay with groceries- OKW to THV

Just trying to make sure my plan makes sense. We're staying two nights at OKW then moving to THV. We will have a car, so we can just keep our luggage in the car instead of having bell services move it. I'm guessing we'll just have a few groceries like milk and juice. I'm thinking we'll just drive it over to SSR and have them store it, unless by some chance our room is ready.

Then we just have to figure out what to do with us that day (we're not doing Disney parks). When we check in at SSR will they text us when our THV is ready? Thinking maybe we'll park the car at SSR and take the boat to DTD for lunch and shop until we get a text.

Any potential snags in my plan?

I take the car and check in around 7AM. If you tell them that you will take any room that's available you might luck out.

Yes, they'll text you when the villa is ready. Since you have a car and the resorts are close by, I would suggest going over to SSR and checking in early in the morning and heading back to OKW for the rest of the morning. Vacate OKW closer to check out time, then head to DTD or whatever. You have access to all of OKW for the whole day and since you will have checked into SSR, you also have full access there even if your room isn't ready.

Super...thanks for the tips! I hadn't thought about checking into THV before checking out of OKW. I'll plan to send DS over to check us in at SSR in the morning. We didn't request a certain THV, didn't really matter to us, so hopefully we'll get whatever's ready.
