Split Stay with 7 Nights?

So my DH and I may put off our trip to Aulani for a couple of years. If we do, we will take our yearly trips to HHI and WDW, but we will add on more nights than we usually do. We are trying to decide how many points we will need. We are thinking about doing a split stay at WDW, but we are staying only 7 nights. We would love to stay longer, but that will be impossible unless we add on points, which we may do down the road. We have been pretty lucky in the past and have gotten BRV/CCV in December, and we would love to split that with our home resort of AKV. If there is availability, should we do the split? If so, how many nights at each? If not, why should we not?

We love split stays, and we have 2 little kids in tow! For 7 nights, I'd split 3/4 - I feel like I need at least 3 nights to feel "settled" in a split stay - shorter than that and I feel like I never got a chance to really enjoy the resort and that part of the split.

I enjoy split stays and even do them for 4 night trips!

If you want to try for a split stay if book your AkV reservation at 11 months in 2 segments so that you can use online booking at 7 months to switch vs calling to change part as you can’t do that online.

I’d do as already suggested In terms of 3 and then 4 nights
