Which one would go to first? Am thinking about starting at Vero and then doing WDW, but not sure. If anyone has does this, I'd appreciate any tips or advice you have!

What you are suggesting is the way we usually do it, and we're doing it again this June. We often have the DGC with us, and we sort of figured it may be hard for them to leave WDW to go to Vero. Our whole family loves them both, so I don't think it would make a difference, but at one point that was our reasoning. Enjoy your trip!

If you're flying, it was easier to head home from WDW since it's closer.

Will you be going to the parks every day while at WDW? If so, then VB at the end of your trip will be a relaxing vacation, a vacation after your vacation!

LOVED LOVED BOTH RESORTS! FABULOUS VACATION!

Loved doing the parks first, then just relaxing at Vero! Would do it again in a heartbeat that very same way!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

We are heading for Vero on Sunday for a night and then heading to BWV for a week afterwards. We are from the west coast so thought it would be nice to relax at the beach and get used to the time change before heading to Disneyworld.

We did this last summer. We did Vero first for three nights and then WLVs for 5 nights. We also figured it would be closer to get to the airport from WDW.

Enjoy!

Most of our DVC trips to Florida are stay a few nights and OKW and then the rest at Vero. Nice to relax after the crazy parks atmosphere. We eat out alot when we are at WDW and by the time we get to Vero we are tired of restaurants and eat alot in our room. This is why we ended up buying Vero points after we used our OKW points there a few times.

We've done WDW first and VB after. We like doing VB to close the trip because we often feel like we need a vacation after going to WDW. 2-3 days at VB after is the perfect wind down/relaxation for us.

Also, MCO may have more flights. But we've traveled back through Melbourne, which is a nice, small airport that's again less stressful/hectic. The drive is only about 45 minutes vs. 30 from WDW to MCO.

We haven't done VB yet, but we usually do a Daytona Beach/WDW combo (7 days at Daytona and 7 at WDW). Don't get me wrong, we love the beach, but by the time we leave and go to Disney, we're ready to go, and ready for some fun. It doesn't always work this way, but we try to make our last day at WDW a pool day with nearby dinner reservations so we can relax, pack up and enjoy our last day.

The other way works well, too, but I find myself wishing we had wrapped up our vacation with WDW. I also find that the kids get bored easier when we do the beach last. Not quite sure why, but it's just a fact for my two (15.5 pirate: and 8 princess:).

We are doing Vero first May 28-31 then BCC may 31-June 3 because the points were cheaper at vero this way. So you may want to look at the point charts. Also, this way we get our drive out of the way!

We did Vero 1st then Disney because of the points, it was less points to go to there 1st then to Disney.

I will be doing the same...if my Vero waitlist comes through...

I subscribe to the vacation after the vacation theory. nothing cures aching feet better than a few days soaking in a nice pool!!!:hippie:

We will be at BCV for the F & W festival October 16th - 21st. On October 21st we check in to Vero for 6 nights.
We like to do WDW first and then unwind and relax before heading back to our hectic lives and jobs.
Have Fun

I would choose the parks 1st then relax at the beach. We just did a split stay in April, 10days, starting @ Kidani, 5 days @ Vero, & back to BLT for 2 nights. It was perfect, nice to have the change in pace- Vero Beach is wonderful, nice to also have the luxury of the last wknd vs driving from the beach, airport, home, etc.
Have a great time!

We have done WDW and then Vero, it works pretty well. The only negative for us is that Vero adds two hours to the trip back home!!
